Hi,
So i've been reading through the forums and sites such as nutn fancy project watching reviews on the MN 91/30 and various scope mounts.
A numbers matching sniper rifle is out of the picture for my budget as I am a new shooter and also acquiring a 22 bolt action for learning.
I see that marstar and a few other supporters of CGN sell non-gunsmith installable scope mounts or weaver rails.
Do these require removing the rear sights or any other changes to the rifles?
Would they fit better with a round or hex receiver?
I'm looking at a bent bolt 91/30 for clearance and ease of use of the bolt, but not sure what mount I should get that is reasonably priced and solid.
What would be a good scope for a MN 91/30 for shooting beyond 500 metres?
I'm looking at maximizing the 7.62x54mm round as my 22 will be for target practice and short range/gopher control.
Are there any methods or mounts to mount a normal scope towards the rear of the rifle?
I do wear glasses, not too familiar with the different mounts/scopes and how that affects things.
I'd be using it more of a target practice/long range rifle, not a "scout" rifle if possible.
Thanks!
