lol ok then i try and follow the rules here and yeah i don't do much trading here EE isnt that good of deals after all on average. fair enough Zebra I don't take it personal thanks for not elevating it to a pissing match. I too be needing a break from this site it angry's up the blood.

wow I was looking for the "rocketsurgery spam thread" to see who won and what but was lossing my mind trying to find the NEA forum.

but at leaste its clear were it went now lol....

As for NEA as a company, when your guns cost more but are out preformed and of lesser quility then their norinco counter parts, you have to sit down and seriously evaluate your situation. Hopefully when NEA comes round again, this will have been fixed.

bull#### I own both, the NEA outperforms the norinco easily, my 7.5 barrel nea is more accurate then my 14.5 norq

NEA had some issues with springs or screws = CRUCIFY THEM

norinco has a HUGE amount of 10.5's not ejecting/cycling properly = FREE PASS

and NEA's are teh same price as norincos if you consider that adding a low profile front post and free floated hand guard costs 300$ easy

Huh?

NEAs do not come with Irons of any type, and so this would not be included.

Also the issues they had/have:

Poor staking on the BCG,
Toolmarks/rough manufacturing marks
improper reciever extension tubes that cuased critical wear on the BCG
various individual parts that were out of spec.
way off spec trigger springs
apparently some people also had issues with the gas block not being tightend correctly.
Mine had an incorrectly factory installed plunger/bolt catch.
General quality of parts used
etc

The reason they catch so much flak is that these rifles were advertised as competition for LMT, and as "Mil Spec". You pay a premium for them over their Norinco Competition, yet they still needed a lot of "polish" to be up to par with ARs of a similar dollar value.

The Norinco is markted as a budget/tinker AR. That is the difference.

I got my NEA bolt in the mail yesterday and it looks good. A great deal for the price of around $120.00. I'm also happy with the NEA bare upper receiver I'm currently utilizing. We've waited a long time for a sophisticated Canadian firearms manufacturor to come on the scene and I wish them success.

I won :D What it was...yet to be discovered. I will find out when I get the package. Alot of people seem to be interested, so I will make a thread about it when I get it. Haha

Nope. Had a miscommunication with staff and got banned.

Had WAY more posts and sales than you do now too.

Best thing that ever happened to me.

This is pure Mc...........Fail...............

Talk about not letting go.......

Also HK does have a forum for the civies, problem for the competition is they have to make up problems about HK to push there products...You shoot way to much from the hip!

Talk about a public relations nightmare...........

it doesnt matter if the rifle isnt cycling because a screw was loose on the gas block,
or not cycling because of crappy ejectors,

I had the heavy springs on my nea, and a screw came loose at 750 rounds...

I have also started to have issues with my norincos extractor recently at about 2200rnds, keeps double feeding with out extracting, nothing some new parts wont fix.

but so what? both guns are great value for what they are, a plane jane m4gery and an accessorized "choose your length" match barreled Canadian AR
both are under a grand, that is not big bucks, despite what some people may feel.

my point is that it wasnt so long ago that people were all "dont buy a norinco they are CRAP" I was told not to get them, told to spend the extra grand or two to get a better AR

then I bought one, and it was fine, had minor issues along the way, but meh, it goes bang, its got decent accuracy.

NEA has not been making AR's as long as norinco, and they are not using ITAR forged specs, they made their own design. its unique, its not an m4gery, its a new design. things take time to get PERFECT, we have something at 98% of the way to being the same quality as brands costing 1600-2000 for comparable lengths/accessories, so lets stop throwing them to the wolves here.

the company brings a canadian product to a canadian market, when other companies ignore us.
they helped sponsor this site and having a local non itar AR can only benefit us in the long run.

I just see a lot of drama, and gossip, being taken at face value. It will work out just like with norinco before, eventually the people shouting all the drama will have moved on to the next thing, and the people quietly enjoying their NEA's will be listened to again.

You're getting the teeshirt, it's coming and you're going to love it.

Just a T-shirt? Haha. I was hoping for a 7.5 PDW AR-15 with there CQB stock and also the mythical non restricted 223 black gun that uses AR mags and is very accurate :D

Dweano, when I find another place to spam, will you SDASD me all night long?

Definitely. I will SDASD you 5421 times! ;)
