The same event will be in the Montreal region this August 4th at Montreal Anglers & Hunters L'Acadie shooting Center. It costs nothing to look! I will post the link to the clubs website later.

This the first time that you will be able to see the premium gun line up that is only seen in the Beretta Gallery boutiques.

Is this event a one time thing, or will it happen again on another date & location in Ontario? Would like to attend but cant make it at that date.

From what I got from Stoeger, it is a one shot deal. It has never hapenned before in Canada. Here is the link for Montreal Anglers & Hunters:

The site is not upto date but at least you can find directions. The Beretta event IS on August 4th there, from 10 am to 5 pm.

Henry;)

Beretta should have paid for the shells and range fees---
They are trying to sell product but the consumer has to pay for the test drive...

Every visitor should be allowed one round each--and try all different guns in that one round and if the person really wants to shoot more then it is at the persons expense...

I know what you're getting at, but if you review the post you'll see that the cost is $15 and proceeds go to a charity.

Unfortunately if you make it free and every clown who ever wanted to shoot a gun will show up at the door and terrorize the place. LOL. Not really the crowd that Stoeger is looking for.

If shooters are genuinely interested in a sporting gun or high end hunting gun, $15 is a fair price to test drive a gun or two.

Mwmham--

Next time you are at a clothing store, make sure you pay for trying on the clothes...

If you are looking to buy a car, please make sure that you pay a fair price for the test drive....

Lol

No one has time to waste....

I don't see how "clowns-as you describe legal firearm owners" would terrorize the place---only serious and genuinely interested sportsmen will line up---

This is being held in the 5 stand house--5 stations--5 shooters--everyone else lines up out side or have a ticket system...

Money going to charity is a very noble thing to do and I really hope a admin fee or salaries are not deducted from the proceeds...

And if the cause is to raise money for charity I, am sure they have made a little bit in 500 years...

You wanna sell your product, pay for your marketing---

Stoeger Canada (Beretta et al) has provided free targets & ammunition for
their dealers to "test drive" new & existing product lines previously on many
occassions. I can understand their reluctance to do so for the general public,
given the number of tirekickers & assorted "enthusiasts" who show up at a
retail venue simply to fondle the hardware. Tell me that isn't so.

Automotive test drives are one thing ... trying on clothes another. I'm sure you would
be welcome to pick-up any of the new product to see if it fits. Shooting it at free targets with free ammunition is another matter altogether.

Do you think a golf club manufacturer or the pro shop at you local club would set you
up with a new set of clubs, provide half a dozen golf balls and pay the green fees for
the front 9 just to let you try out the latest & greatest set of clubs ? ;)

Beretta boy

I will give you one fact--
You will be amazed to know that nmsu hosts golf demo day and all the major golf equipment manufacturers like callaway, titleist, ping, taylor made etc etc attend the venue and offer free tryout's and go a step further by offering free custom fitting....

Plus the manufacturers themselves have demo days at no charge...

I am still trying to understand beretta's intentions's for doing this demo---is it marketing or goodwill--

Why does it have to be marketing or? What's so bad with marketing and goodwill?

They made an offer and I think it is a good deal. If one does not think it is enough, do not take them up on it. I think it is good that they placed a nominal value on the experience. Things that one does not place a value on tend to be taken for granted. Sort of like paying for postage on something you get for free.

I am confused as to what you are saying here? Step up and do what? What are they throwing at us?

What they are throwing us is the opportunity to see and try out their gear Can you imagine the audacity of that? We are not to put up with this treatment. We should crap all over them for doing this because they should be paying for our ammo and targets (and why not time while we are at it)...

Dear Stoeger Canada,

Thank you for your support of shooting events in Canada. As someone who organizes such events, please understand that without your support many events could not continue. It is very much appreciated.

Thank you for putting on an event like this for the Beretta line. Cool idea. We struggle in Canada to see Beretta products up close and in person. Having the opportunity to try them out is nearly unprecedented. Again cool idea. Thanks for attempting to shine a positive light on the firearms community by making this a charity event. Give your "cool idea guy' a raise.

Thank you to the Oshawa club for hosting. I wish I could attend because it will be a cool event, but the club it is a little out of my range to get there on consecutive weekends.

Brad.
