AR15.com Rockcastle Pro/Am 3 gun championships

Oh man....wipes tears from eyes.....its even better than the descriptions I heard from multiple people....thanks for that!

I had a stage similar to that at the Shotgun Championships....complete brain fart!

The Benny Hill theme song is perfect btw...

THANK YOU!!
I've been dying to relive that moment!!!!!

We just caught a glimpse of the RO turning and smiling in a WTF? kind of way.
That expression was shared by all in attendance!!!

You should be proud, as your actions helped bring the squad closer together, as we all shared that moment.

One day we'll have to get together to see the banger vid.

Goes to show that Team Hoser is an equal shooting team...we even have our own Special Olympic shooting team. You go 667 lick the ducst of the radiator and enjoy shooting.

Shouldn't you be sippin' some kind of fruity girly drink at the swim up bar...?

Even at the swin up bar thinking of your smooth operator status like action from the video makes me chuckle and reminds me why you earned your street name "Hot Chocolate"

Just a kids drink at heart LOL

Gonna be ....fun.
Probably humiliating and brutal, but... Fun

Well, stages are up.

I look forward to going head to head with all of the walking billboards in the pro division.

Wonder if my neighbors will mind my practicing loading and shooting a shotgun from within a car. (see stage 2)

These stages look very interesting.

The shotgun one with the flying clays will require some thought.

Can't wait

The round count for the match is as follows: (from benos)

PRO--> 88 rifle, 98 pistol, 80 shot, & 6 slugs for a total of 272 rds
AM---> 80 rifle, 74 pistol, 75 shot, & 3 buckshot for a total of 232 rds.

The round count is based on the assumption of one shot per steel/clay and two per paper. The count will also vary as the shooter will have options on which gun to use on some tgts. There are 30 rifle flasher tgts in the match.

Starting to think I should of went PRO

Would you have met the minimum skill lever requirement for Pro?
:)

Yeah, the flying clays stage will need some fast reloading.
I may be switching between weak hand and load 2 depending on the stage.

Rifle shots out to about 350 yards.

I'm gonna have to develop some skillz.

On Benos, there are only a few targets beyond 200y in PRO, none in AM.

350 shouldn't be that bad, but just far enough that bullet drop becomes an issue. Got a 200y zero on your scope?

everything I've shot recently has been 100 or less, so my zero reflects that.

Going to tune and tweak once I'm back from IPSC Nationals.
Gives me 2 1/2 weeks to get up to speed.

Once I chrono my ammo, I'll play with some trajectory tables and decide what would be ideal for me.

It's gonna be a good match...

I just hope the hotels and restraunts all have their AC in good working order!

Countdown begins.
Two more days of dryfire and the odd range session if time allows, then its off to KY to face the bugs and humidity.
And hopefully do well at the match.

Is anyone else staying in Cave City?

Just getting packed now....always feel like I am going to forget something

Really, there should be a sticky at the top of the page for things to remember for a big three gun match
