I'm going to get a new rifle and dedicate it for coyote. What caliber would you recommend? I have been debating between a .223, a 22-250, .243 and a 25-06. What are your thoughts and what do you use?
Coyote Caliber,
So many Questions,
Long Range, Short Range, Caliber restrictions, saving the hides, Calling, dogging.
More information needed.
What area in this vast country do you live?
243 is the best coyote round going. Bucks the wind shoots flat and hits hard. Another point for the 243 is that it's legal for deer.
Pass on the axis
i use a 22-250, here in nb you only use a 22 cal rifle or shotgun, bb shot or smaller
I have a .270 for deer, i want a dedicated yote gun. The 22-250 seems like a great calibre but everyone i talk to has every other calibre but that one. What gives?
I like .223 mainly because it's real cheap to shoot. .204 or .243 are also good. For mucho performance at long range, .22-250 (short barrel life & expensive ammo) or .308 Win or .270 Win or 7mm-08 or 6.8SPC or even 7.62mm
