mosin nagant carbine

No.
They dry up some times here but they always bring more in.

All surplus will one day be rare but by the time these things are "rare" I'll be rotting in a box and my grandkids might see a price hike lolol

They are fun little rifles, watch your shoulder Comrade!

I have to plead ignorince I don't know the different types other then its 7.62 x54

There are Polish ones that are supposed to be the "Cadillac" of the M44 carbine world that are "more rare" but still not that rare lol

Most people consider rare Mosins usually are captured war Mosins which were then inspected and stamped by the other nation and refurbished etc.

You will have to decipher your markings to tell if it's "rare". Use this:

That sight is the gospel of everything you will need to know about your Mosin Sir.

I find they all shoot the same depending on the condition of the rifle.
It's easier to find a mint condition Polish which is why I think they lend to "better" accuracy myths and legends.

Any milsurp battle rifle was never truly intended to be a tack driving snipers rifle, they are usually made to hit a man sized target out to 600 meters etc which the M44 will do with ease. People just chase the accuracy fairy and myths spending countless dollars and time in my opinion.

All the Russian ones I have seen usually are in rough shape, rode hard and put away wet you know.

I had a Soviet 1945 M44 carbine I believe it was Ishevsk. I picked it up for $180 and sold it last year for about $260 during the "drought" lol ;). It had a literally mint bore/barrel on her. She shot more accurate than any other Mosin I'd shot so you know the bottom line is condition over make etc.

They are pretty bad ass rifles man, short, built like a tank, kick like a mule, loud as f**k and just all around too cool lol I kind of regret selling mine actually now that I think of it :(

They are not making any more of them, eventually they'll get modded ,..:HR: get shot or sit in the collector's bin....nasty little buggers to shoot, but fun as hell!

I know I luv my M38!

Yeah, anyone that says they don't kick much, lies. I have no shame in popping a slip-on pachmeyer pad on the rifle butt, no bruises, just fun!

If you are accustomed to shooting 12 bore all day the 54R is a breeze to shoot all day. ;)

EDIT. forgot to post my M44.

The only thing altered from original that can't be undone is a bipod stud installed.

I'm left handed and with the rifle on a bipod I just cycle the action with my right hand while keeping left hand at the ready.
