Recommendation for Improvements on NEA rifles & Company.

Suggestions: non restricted AR type rifle in .223 and 7.62x39 and a bad ass 1911 in 9mm and .45acp

As for the rest of this thread.... TWK
Too much drama. f:P:

If i were to make a suggestion it would be to throw any old or out of spec parts out, and way, way away from your shop.

It seems like there have been a number of instances of stuff going out the door with parts from the wrong bin. The junk bin should probably be painted lime green and, ideally, have a pool of molten aluminum in the bottom.

I guess the other thing i would suggest is to walk away from any supplier that has provided out of spec parts in the past, even if you have a good working relationship with them.

Your statement is contradictory. Dave said that the NEAs will be inline with the specs of LMT. But you don’t make the same observation that it blows your mind that anyone would make a statement like this?? But you say your NEA is no LMT?? Have you seen and shot an LMT or is this opinion based on what you've read??

Gotcha…

Gotcha? OK Matlock! ;)

I have fired a LMT and have seen several. I've also seen and shot a few Norincos. I've seen a few NEAs but have only shot the one I own. I'm no expert judge of ARs but I can tell you they all shot accurately and reliably. Fit and finish was best on the LMTs, worst on the Norincos, NEA was in between. Is that so surprising? Take a look at the detailed pics I have posted of my NEA15 and see the finish for yourself. As far as fit goes, not sure what I can do to convince you other than to say everything was solid and tight out of the box and after close to 1000 rounds is just as solid and tight.

So forgive me if I am surprised when someone says the NEA15 is nothing more than a Norinco with a rail - that just sounds like an opinion formed more from reading than actual hands-on which isn't surprising considering there are not exactly a lot of NEAs out there yet.

You'll also have to forgive me if it doesn't blow my mind that 4 months before NEA had a complete rifle for sale to the Canadian public Dave stated, "we are pretty much in line with LMT". In that same post he also said they wouldn't have a free float quad rail so I'm guessing all of the specs hadn't exactly been finalized at that point :).

In a year from now, if NEA has stopped making rifles and they've fallen on their face, you are all welcome to have a laugh at the guy who kept trying to dispel some of the myths around the NEA15. I've never defended the shilling, the QC issues, or the other blunders NEA has made along the way. I'm just a guy who likes his rifle and tries to give an honest take on his experience with it.

I think that any company in its infancy like NEA, needs to be held to the coals a bit. I'm sure it happened to most major AR manufacturers and if it didn't they were probably going through it when there wasn't a forum like CGN or other public forums where people could come on and blast them away.]

I like NEA's style and i like their position in the market(entry-level low cost of ownership AR).

They need to slow down and not react to developments in their business so quickly ie. a PDW stock was just thrown on their NEA-15 PDW and the first thing they do is snap iPhone pics and put in on their website/facebook profile and create a feeding frenzy of people that want, want, want but can't have.

That just frustrates the public. That type of stuff should be left to leak sites and forums. And quite frankly shows an amateur level of understanding the way to best utilize social media.

The public and forums can speculate all they want but corporate sites/mediums should appear to remain silent and focused on their job of meeting the demands of their customers. Until something has been Tried, tested and produced. get the guy you have posting forums off the keyboard and on a bench doing QA/QC. At the very least get him on some podcasts or in front of a camera promoting NEA quality.

Some people like the charm that NEA provides in its interaction with the public. I get that, but they expose themselves to public scrutiny and embarrassment on their own mediums.
And when they delete posts they don't like they are accused of "editing out criticism". It sucks, but them the breaks!

"As a company, we have a combined experience of over 50 years in aerospace manufacturing. The experience that we bring to the table gives us a unique perspective and ability to bring new and improved components to market. We are able to offer full design, engineering and manufacturing within North America, as well as offshore."

A whole lot of talk and when people got their NEA rifles and compared them to Norinco in fit and finish department that raises a huge flag.

50+ years experience and people got rifles with tooling chatter marks and out of spec parts/ect........people were not given a product that met the claims of NEA being so experienced and top notch.

If you are going to make such claims, back them up 100%, which NEA has not done and then shilling took place to make up for sup par products.......NO TRUST THERE.

Company profile sounds like a gift from the gods but the end product doesn't add up . http://www.linkedin.com/company/north-eastern-arms

i find it funny that you know so much about them, yet you just joined today.

Multiple accounts as usual! Is that describes as having many faces? Why do they want to dig such deep holes for themselves? All that effort could be used for good. They are a company and can make it work if they focused on the task at hand and not the negative chatter.
Nose to the grindstone time fellas. Take the positive suggestions and make it work!
