Hey guys just wanted to post some pics of last weekends hunting trip my freind and I headed into Quebec to a place call Ranch Amerique where we got the chace to hunt wild boar. Great experiace I used a NORC SKS fired 123grs S&B one shot at 75m in the vitals and all I saw was four legs in the air she droped like a bag of rocks, well here is the pics for you.

For all interested in what kinda damage was done bullet entered right side of the heart just behind the front leg and it exited just behind the neck on the left side making a small hole untill the we skinded it and found a fist size hole in the neck area.

Congrats and great shooting! Love to see the post-mortem to see how that bullet performed. I use the PRVI's on deer and they work great, but I have a stash of S&B's but have never dumped something with one that I can remember.

The bullet made quite a mess it was extremely hard to tell its path of travel before gutting it we inserted a water hose in the entrance and it would come out the exit just behid the neck but when we gutted and skind it had a hole that I could put my entire fist in. From what I could tell the bullet fragmentated and broke its back and a couple of ribs.

Did you use the bayonet to skin the sucker ?.............;)

Excellent shooting !....

The two resons I used the SKS was beacuse of the bayonet I'v had the chance to hunt boar before and I know what happens when they get close so having the bayo made me feel better. I also know that the 7.62x39 is a great round and disperses its energy well.
