Sks vs boar ***warning pics of dead boar***

Give it 10 years, and the numbers will be so high we'll be hunting them by helicopter like they do in the states now :)

There are some in Manitoba but they are very hard to find.

I've seen them around Homfield, east of Killarney, when out on hail claims. Folks I used to hunt with have also seen them in the Oak River country. I'd want to check the Souris, Pembina and Assiniboine River valleys-lots of oak trees and acorns. Great places for turkeys too. Farmers consider them pests, so would be helpful with spotting them and giving access.

maybe this is a stupid question, but why in the hell are these guys wearing camo?

Found their site online about a year ago and seriously considered a hunt but upon contacting them with some background information and expressing interest found that they wouldn't send me a brochure or any other information in English and I got the impression I was bothering them and ceased and desisted doing so.

I didn't know if their attitude problem was because I was a female or because I didn't parlez francais but if they don't respect my gender or language they can screw off. I'll spend my hunting dollars elsewhere.

By the way, nice hog OP. Should be real nice eating.

You're looking very "Spetsnaz" in the picture. ;)

I'm wondering how the Quebec SQ will look on unregistered non-restricted firearms from Ontario in their jurisdiction for hunting even if they were being used on a hunting preserve like Ranch Amerique?

Is there an exemption for non Quebec residents for unregistered guns while hunting in Quebec and supporting Quebec outfitters?

What if the "out of province" gun was registered in the Canadian firearms program before c-19 was proclaimed and the hunter has the certificate?

I might be interested in a hunt if they (Ranch Amerique) show a little more respect but none of my unregistered guns are being registered in PQs rump LGR.

Sorry to hear you had a problem. I don't speak a lick of freanch but the guy I was with did, not once when I was there did I ever get a bad taste in my mouth there where even times when I would turn to the staff and ask them to repeat what they had said in English and they had no problem. I found the staff helpfull and extremely knowledgeable and they made us feel right at home. Next year we are planing on doing two hunts at the camp you are more than welcome to join us.

Has anyone - on this forum - in the last 2 years...seen a wild boar (not penned / free roaming) in Alberta / Sask?

The "Friend of a friend who knows a guy whose cousin talked to a guy in a bar" doesn't count.

There was a small population that did escape out Lac Ste Anne area, but were exterminated with extreme prejudice. That was years ago.

Thats some pare of balls you have to bring a bore down with a 9mm. Talk about shot placement LOL

he was running past me about 100 feet away from me..took two shots and 1 got him in the ribs ,he dropped and i ran up to him and took him out with a head shot.. :) AS for balls, i got more balls than brains thats for sure! :)
