Where are you in this world?
There are good reasons to shoot coyotes, very good reasons.
They are overpopulated in most of urban and rural Canada.
They kill pets, they prey on species that we rely on for food.
The list goes on and on.
Get a grip!!

No Coyote today...
It was very windy this evening, but pretty to make up for it

Went out again this evening, I took my 5 year old daughter with me. I had a Coyote charge in bouncing like a deer threw the sage brush, it stopped about 10 yards from me. but all i could see were its ears. it ended up going down wind of me and it was outa there. She got to see it all, it was very cool, afterward I asked her did you see it? She said "DAD WHY DIDNT YOU SHOOOOT IT!!!" it was great!

I did not use a rimfire either....an old BSA .222 with a fifty grain . I took the coyote that has been coming into the barn and killing cats and the pug dogs it could catch. She was coming into a calf carcass that they had been feeding on for a few nights. We suspect a group chased and hobbled the calf then gutted it to kill it. Nasty critters. The coyote population is large here, no rabbits and wild critters for them to eat so they tackle domestic animals. Even humans so i see by the news.

Had to work about 50 miles from home so I made a stop to see if i could call anything in, I seen 1 coyote at about 250 yards, i seen it run between one tree and the other. But i never seen it after that. All in good fun

My dog is spending the night at the dog pound. she took of this morning and I spent an hour looking for her. I had a job I had to be to so I left the grage door open a little bit so she could get in when she came home. I got home and she was not home. Called the local police department (kinda a small town) and asked if they had seen her, and the gal on the phone said yeah (bob) picked it up... Whats your number I will have him call you. He called me and said it he took it to the pound and that i would have to call them in the morning because they were closed already. DANGIT! Gona be like 150 to get her out. I will use the coyote bounty money her and I have made to get her out.

Why would it cost 150 to get your own dog out of the pound. They have your property. A dog is considered property yes some people say they're family but under the law if something is found it’s supposed to be returned to the owner.

Its like if I lose my wallet do they charge 150 to get it back?

If you're confused about the difference, perhaps you ought to do a little research. Better yet, talk to some of the farmers I know here in Ontario who've lost sheep to coyotes. Care to know what a full-grown sheep sells for? How about friends of mine here in the town I live (firearm discharge not allowed) who've had family pets attacked or killed. I'm not in the "kill 'em all" mindset yet, but am convinced there are too many around...and CERTAINLY don't feel at all bad seeing one dead in a photo on a GUN/shooting/hunting website like this one.

Sounds like Halton Hills.....a friend of mine lives just outside of town, with a sheep farm behind his house. 2 weeks ago, coyotes killed 14 sheep in 1 night. I now have unlimited access to help remedy the situation

There is not really a coyote problem where I live yet, but there will be eventually. No firearms discharge/hunting within the town at all. I see more and more all the time. Lots of prey for them too.
