Shopping for better prices after buying the riffle... Sounds like that's your fault.... V:I:

so.... you are pissed, and will never deal with the great people of Wanstalls again over a few bucks?
What are we talking here20-30$????

I have nothing but the highest praise for Gary, and Wanstalls. :)
Always the first place i check when i want something.

The way everything was handled left a bad taste in my mouth. It felt like the we got your money and don't give a crap. I work in the sales industry and I usually bend over backwards to get customers to come to my store to buy from me. I also continue to provide the same level of service to those customer even after the time of sale. Also even if it were $10 I would still expect a better answer than what I got. I felt as if I was being a nuisance to them instead of a customer. Leason learned shop somewhere else!!

sure you werent expecting too much, and demanding them to refund you your 20$? Or were you polite, and explained to them that you made a mistake and didnt check the best price for it before you ordered it?

I cant see them being rude, and annoyed over a polite customer. A demanding one though, sure if it was me, i wouldnt give a #### either, as i would rather my customers be happy. Some people are never happy, no matter what, so you are right, they are better off shopping elsewhere.

I found a better price from another sponsor. Called them to see if they could do anything. You're right it's only $30.00 difference. I basically got stonewalled. I would have been perfectly happy with an answer such as "next time you order a firearm off our site we will cut ya a deal". Does said deal need to be outrageous? Not at all. Hell, if they said we will throw in shipping on your next order I would have been down like James Brown. Currently they charge $10.00 for shipping.

This post is not to be about the money but the level of service I feel I got. What did this company do differently that would make me what to buy from them again? Nothing!!

Once you shake on a deal, it's done. I'd be pretty hesitant about dealing with someone who tries a stunt like yours. Especially then to call out the company for not bending over forwards for ya. Got a bit to learn about buying and selling, Mr 1911 posts.

Think you mixed up the the guy with 46 posts vs 1911 posts.

As others have said. Wanstalls has been great to deal with, no complaints here.

Won't matter what I say now on this forum. I will already be an outcast because I made a complaint. I have found that gun owners are the quickest of the trigger to shun somebody as an outcast. So much for being able enjoy this hobby.

I thought I could just call them up and they would cut me a deal for the difference.

They said they can't do anything as it has already been shipped. I then stated that I can just return the rifle once it arrives and that will be okay. I was told yup, no problems with returning it.

I basically got stonewalled.

No, you didn't get stonewalled, you just didn't get money in the manner you wanted.

The dealer sold you what you wanted at an agreed upon price, then they shipped it out to you so fast that they couldn't change the order.

In spite of you wasting Wanstall's time and effort in sending you the merchandise you ordered, they are willing to accept the merchandise back and give you a refund.

In all honesty, this thread seems more like an advertisement for Wanstall's.

Here's to Wanstall's...

I see you are from Ontario. I bet you benefitted from their flat $10 shipping charge on rifles.
Too bad about your loss, but I would not go on the internet and whine over such a petty amount, especially after the deal is done.
It's Wanstall's... they've never done wrong by me.

Again, I was hoping they may cut me a deal. I have seen plenty of other sponsors on this site do that. So I am guessing that every single person on this thread hasn't been upset when they purchase something and the next week it is on sale somewhere else. What will that company normally do? Usually they do something to keep you as a customer.

I have sucked it up before and just lived with it but it was the phone call that I made that really got to me. Maybe I just didn't think it through before posting here.
