Fake Cans/Supressor/Silencer... Whatever you want to call them

I have a 16" barrel and I think it looks pretty good with the fake one on it.
I got mine from the states... as all it is, is a piece of metal tube, and a cap. Fits over the barrel, doesnt change any sound levels. (to quiet them that is)

It made it across the border, I even contacted the border before buying it, and they said unless it's "designed to lower the sound levels" then it's classified as a barrel shroud and is legal.

Say what you want about fake cans......the same lodgic can be applied to guys using 30 mags pined to 5 instead of LAR 10 rounders.
30 round length mags start to shine when the distances get long and the bench rest gets left behind. Just sayin'

I'm the furthest thing from a FUDD there is, all I'm saying is that the way the law is written in Canada it is so loose that someone could be prosecuted over a fake can.

I have some 20's (7.62/.308) that are pinned with a soft rivet , if the laws ever change for the better, so can the mags.

I don't normally like fake accessories for the tacticool look, but I have en exception for fake cans. The reason being is lets say I have an ACR. I have to get a LNG barred to de-restrict it, because a 16.5" barrel is super-scary and can kill at least 10 time as many people as a 18.5" barrel.
Well, #### you gun laws. I'm going to make it non-restricted, but I'm also going to put on an ultra-scary fake suppressor. This achieves both the goals of making it look like a "scary" 12.5" rifle, as well as a piss off people who don't think suppressor should be legal. Mission accomplished!
