blackfeather stock arrived!

the Ultimak wont fit my M305 with a Blackfeather stock? I just ordered one from Brownells. Please let me know if I can make it fit?

I don't think it will fit because of the OpRod guide on the blackfeather...its so much thicker than the one it replaces so i doubt that it will allow it sit flush against the barrel. You might be able to make it fit by removing quite a bit of aluminum. I had to do something very similar with a UTG tri-rail. Then again I am saying this based on the assumption that Ultimak typically makes contact with the OpRod guide...

Edit: I think I just found your answer, have a read!

Utg tri-rail

I knew that was a UTG. I have the same one (not that I want to admit it). Took a fair bit of reaming to get it to fit over the ORG. Did you use all the fasteners to attach it to the barrel? Have you shot it yet? Any issue with the rail? I do like the look of it anyways.

Yeah I used the fasteners on the barrel. Took it out to shoot yesterday with zero issues whatsoever. Only tested at 50m but was able to shoot 1" groups off a bag using surplus norinco ammo... not too shabby. UTG stuff is not all bad. I know ppl make fun of the gear but in all honesty some of their products are actually quite good for the price point...the M14 rail is one such product.

Got tired of holding my laptop sideways ;)

I'm glad to hear that. I got a whole bunch of that ammo to shoot. I don't give a crap about the name and I do like the look of it. You and I have very similar rifles. One thing that I am doing is stripping the rifle down and recoating the metal parts black. The grey just looks a little off with the Blackfeather.

Does the rear sight have to be dialed up to 300 to get a picture? I'm just curious because for my 2nd m305 I'm thinking Blackfeather, UTG Tri-rail, scout scope and irons on a shorty barrel

I'd like to get that SEI naval brake, or whatever it's called, but they seem to be hard to get.

I'm not too worried about accuracy in this build as it would be mostly for hunting, which is why I would just get a 2012 pre-built shorty, and a BF stock because it's ergonomic and I wouldn't be heating it up much. I would want the iron sights though simply because I'm banging the gun around in the woods and the scope might crap out.

Ok - also I just figured out that I'm a dumbass. Got the Troy front band mounted up properly. Nevermind the discarding and backwards stuff above.

Hey Thanks for the report, I've been thinking about this stock for mine and am glade to hear as I justed picked up a Troy rail.

As soon as that little piece of paper arrives here, she'll be on her way!

:D That little piece of paper arrived in my hands today... it will begin it's journey north tomorrow

Can you recommend a solid folding mechanism for the BF RS?

I am working on a folding adapter now but I would look at the Ace Ltd. folding adapters. They are excellent. I hope that helps.
