But I've chosen to order a navy seal version of the sage ebr thru Armtac.
A good choice, but here are a few reasons, off the top of my head, why you might reconsider:
- no height adjustable, interchangeable back end
- no way to put on a full length AR rifle stock
- no USGI-style, ergonomic countours
- no removable, keyed-in-a-track rail system (this is proprietary to the RS)
- no fully adjustable oprod guide that allows barrel tensioning and additional oprod guide lubrication built-in
- no "match" quality oprod rod guide that is purposely oversized and built in 4140 HTSR steel

- no QD sling swivels inserts
- with the SAGE you get heavier weight than the RS
- with the SAGE you get a rifle that isn't as balanced as the RS
- with the SAGE you pay twice as much after tax, they are $1200 + tax here (Insert Hungry's "Why Buy One When You Can Have Two?" Rule Here)
- with the SAGE you get a excellent rifle stock, but with Blackfeather, you get a better one that was designed through 2010 and 2011 and built in 2012
- with Blackfeather you get a very ergonomic, light but most importantly, balanced "system" that affords true interchangeability.
- did I mention better trigger ergonomics and a better, more carefully planned default butt stock height position?
- or the fact that you can buy 3 more oprod guides for Blackfeather and run multiple rifles from the same stock platform and still pay less than a SAGE in Canada?
- or the fact that with Blackfeather you have only to remove a single Grade 8 frame bolt to take down your rifle?
Maybe I didn't...
45ACPKING,
I'd welcome your review of the Blackfeather stock. As a gunsmith your insight would be most welcome.
I would definitely like to see more in depth reviews, so far all I've seen is pictures of builds. However, the stock is only in it's second production run now. I hope to do an amateurs review of the stock when I get mine in the next little while.
I will say though, you have to understand that most here don't know you personally. So it's difficult to accept that your reviews of M14.ca products could be completely unbiased. It's obvious to most that you're direct competitors for many aftermarket parts. Food for thought.
You better get in touch with pretty much every branch of the US Armed forces and let them know they bought the wrong stock!
The waiting game goes on...
I was the second American to send in an import
permit request, but I still haven't received it back.
I don't know who is at fault, the USPS or the BATF.
AS much as I love the stock....
Bring the dove tail all the way through...You should be able to take off an AFG without having to remove the barrel from the stock everytime.
The only thing I found so far that I do not like about this stock
As soon as that little piece of paper arrives here, she'll be on her way! Here is Xeelee's new toy.

I was able to put mine on without removing anything except mag (from the end closest to the magazine).
Yomamma's so fat when she gets picked up and dropped off somewhere they have to take two ships.
Fixed it for you

What is the handguard rail on that one?
