American hunters 66 birds over the daily bag limit...

Just a thought, as far as I am aware I do not believe that any US citizen is required to have a US passport to get entry into Canada. Only their personal ID like a drivers license is all that is needed. Saw this first hand recently while coming back across the border at Niagara Falls. An american plated vehicle in front of me stops at the Canada Customs booth ahead of me and shows a plastic looking card at the agent who then lets him through. My turn next and I asked the same customs agent out of curiosity what was the card that the fellow used ?. The reply -just his U.S. drivers license. The Canada Customs agent was not joking in his reply.

Looks like it's a one way street, Canadians require a valid Canadian passport to enter the U.S. whereas they (Americans) do not need to have a U.S. passport to gain entry into Canada.

So how exactly do our customs identify any U.S. citizen having a criminal record ?

NOPE..the NAFTA agreement allows US companies to come in (alot from Georgia and Loiusiana and Texas) to come into Canada and operate migritory bird operations. I'm speaking of knowledge from Alberta.
Yeah, and I believe similar outfits operate in Southern Saskatchewan as well.
IIRC, Robert Redford has big interests in such likewise organizations through a Colorado based outfit.

The limits are half what they should be for these flying vermin. Devouring everything in their path. I can't swath my oats or barley anymore, there wouldn't be anything left to harvest.

If you have seen the massive flocks of snow geese that pass through here every spring and fall you would agree with me.

We should be paying people to kill them.

Man oh man, who would want to clean that many geese! Then there's the processing of the meat, oh wait... These guys probably don't even eat the dang birds! Throw the book at them!

Cheers
Jay

Yes we must adhere to seasons and bag limits............well, some of us anyhow.
My understanding is the Metis were just given the same hunting rights as first nations here in MB. No seasons or bag limits in most of the province. No outrage over that???? 66 tundra rats over the limit gets you a spot on CGN. How about 20 pregnant cow elk in spring?

Wasn't EC actually planning to poison snows at one time during the summer as they're eating themselves out of home and yard? Discretion people, learn the word.

We are talking about the bird species that Quebec had a spring hunt on for as well as the fall season. IIRC, Saskatchewan had the same idea of an additional spring season for snow geese, and I wonder what became of this idea?

anyone?

I don't know about Saskabush but Manitoba still has a spring season. Electronic calls are allowed and the possesion limit is 60 birds.

Over the limit...yes...but why do we have a limit on flying vermin like geese anyways?

x3

They swim around in the lagoon about 2 miles from where I live - yummy. That puts them in the same category as rats for me (disclosure: I don't hunt or shoot at them).

That pisses me off. They come over here and think they can pull **** like that. We have a problem on lake erie wjth american charter boats fishing out of season fish. I've had a few arguements with them.
