Should I buy a NEA AR?

everyone knows Im the only one with a working NEA... (gonna pass 4k this weekend if anyone cares)

My Daniel Defense works really great 500 rounds through and no jams or problems. My only issue is I don't get enough range days between working out of town and the honey do list when I get home seems to be getting longer...I would love to get a hard copy of that list and take it to the range for a little practice ....but she has it memorized.

2 posts, and one just happens to be defending NEA. Pfft.... even my 3 year old could draw a line between the 2.
I bet with one click of the mouse, a mod could also draw the same conclusions, and someone in this thread would be gone. ;)

What i would like to know is, with all of these new superdeedoopergen4 guns going out, why are there no "OMFG my new NEA ******* kicks major ******* ass man"....<crickets>

seriously, why are there none? I am asking a question, and not a rhetorical one. Why are there no threads like these? You have thread after thread from guys who went into any store, and were sold any gun off the shelf, and there is a thread about it.
Why are ther not any threads saying, OMG i just wanna shout out SFRC for selling me this kick ass NEA gun, Like OMG i am so happy with it!@

Anybody???

or any recent NEA gun, with a review?
You would think anyone who was happy with it, would be pleased to give a short review of the new gun??
 
im considering buying a NEA 10.5 form SFRC...
my one buddy is going to give me hell for buying it...i know... but it seems to have what i want and its got a lifetime warrenty and easy to warenty because they are in canada.
i could buy the norinco (which 3 of my friends have and have no issues with) but i want a quad rail, so bang, its right up to the same price as a factory NEA.


what do you guys think?
its going ot be my 1st AR and i dont want to dish out 2 grand... 1 grand +- a little is about it.

and how fast can sfrc get a in stock rifle to me?

What do I think? Quad rails are highly overrated... You can spend +$100 on a Magpul MOE stock, MOE grip and MOE carbine hand guard to essentially get the same functionality, but with less weight and better ergonomics. Plus the $300 you'll save with a Norc gets you 1,000 rounds of ammunition or a nice RDS. But if you absolutely feel your #### is gonna fall off if you don't get a quad rail, well... ;)

i like the full length quadrail look...im only putting magpul flip up sights on it and eventually some sort of red dot.
but i just searched the MOE and that looks alright too.
where can i get it??

but more importanyly.. is the current Gen NEA really that hated that i get told to buy a norc over it? lol
my one buddy basically said he wouldnt go shooting with me unless i bought a DD

i was also looking at wyndham arms but i cant find any with a barrel shorter that 16"...i would take a 14, prefer a 12.

or is the dd really that much better at $1600 pre order?

I am just telling you what I have and how it has worked. Tell you the truth, my LMT is working like **** right now for some reason. Has ran like a top for a few years but right now I can't rely on it. I gave it a good cleaning and will try it tomorrow. It's not lies, it's not shilling, it is the truth.

I personally like the aesthetics of the MOE carbine hand guard over most quad rails, but it's the natural ergonomics and built-in hand stop that won me over. If you're just going to run irons and maybe a RDS, I wouldn't necessarily worry about a quad rail.

I'm saying if money is an object, you'll probably be happier being $300 or so ahead with the Norc. If you're looking for a decent AR, the DD, Armalite and Stag are all a step-up from both the NEA and Core15. Windham apparently makes a really nice AR, too.

Like Dinsdale said, the dogpile effect. To be honest, it is probably also keeping those with minor issues with their NEAs from posting here as well. Think about it...you come on here and say you got a "kick ass NEA gun" you'll get called a shill (just look at this very thread as evidence) or you come on here and report a problem and you get told to send it back for a full refund, slap yourself for being so stupid, and go buy a DD! Christ, even Misanthropist has gotten flak over his buying an NEA and he has more experience, knowledge, and CGN street cred in is little pinky than most of us have head to toe!
If I was to buy an NEA-15 today, whether it was a lemon or god's gift to black rifles I sure as hell wouldn't be talking about it here...that is the kind of sad environment we have here at the moment. To me it seems obvious that this dysfunction was initiated by NEA's own actions but is perpetuated by a handful of others.

There's a difference between a "NEA rocks", "I have a problem with my NEA" and "Should I buy a NEA?" - that being we've never seen a "pro-NEA" thread. I'd actually welcome a user-based thread without the usual 'shills' derailing it.
