Ive already posted these in the Wanstalls forum...but just thought you guys might appreciate a nice M1

...even though it's a full on refurb.. she's definitely pretty :)

I kept everything. We split even. If court drags on or if she decides you're dangerous, then you're hosed. Otherwise you'll keep all your guns. Worst case, take it to a friend's place until this is over and then get it back after...

It's just a portion of your joint marital assets. It gets valued at current auction/dealer price and gets folded into the total value of other property (real estate, vehicles, investments, bank accounts, property, etc.) You then have the opportunity to retain it as a part of your 50 percent of the overall total.

Nice rifle, (I think the question is tongue in cheek), but if she does, give everything you want to keep to a friend,(one whole will give it back later)

haha...sorry guys...it was totally tongue in cheek

she's a great girl...and I probably don't deserve her...but there's gonna be a hell of a lot of eye rolling when I have to confess the price tag

hope you enjoyed the pic's

deleted - thought was a legitimate question.

sorry ...honestly thought the sarcasm was more obvious...didn't mean to piss anyone off

just wanted to share the pics and make it kinda funny...bad taste I guess..my fault

It's much easier to beg for forgiveness than to get permission on something like that. Congrats on a great looking shooter that's everything the original ever was and maybe a little more.

That's been my motto this week! I've been hinting that I wanted a new rifle and snowmobile for a while now. This has been met with "the look" by the better half each time.

She left the country for a trip on Wednesday morning.

I owned a new rifle and a new (to me) snowmobile by Wednesday afternoon.

Nice restoration. Does it have any import marks under the barrel or any James River Armory markings?
Nice to see the fake Cartouche on the stock. Maybe in 50 years it will be passed off as the real thing. :p

Havent found any JRA stamps yet...the action and barrel are both SA..receiver is 1943..barrel is ~1950-55. Haven't stripped it yet but looks brand new..the stock is really well done.

You get to keep it, just so long as she doesn't want half..... and has her own chainsaw handy!

BEAUTIFUL rifle.

It's gonna cost you one helluvva diamond!

Be worth it, though.

If she doesn't kill you for this, man, you've got a PAIR of Keepers!

I know whenever I come home with a new gun, I have flowers on hand to appease the better half. Funny enough, she never mentions wanting flowers anymore.
