I'm looking into this new toy on our market called JR Carbine. I like the idea of choice of any one of popular pistol caliber for all of which I already reload, easy to customize due to picatinny rail all the way around, very reasonable size, pistol 10rnd. mags but most of all, it is non-restricted. The only thing that lacks is, it is fairly new on the market and we don't know much about its reliability, resale value ( this one actually is not important) and warranty & customer service performance. Does anyone have any first hand experience with it ?
Thanks for any input.

love mine, its flawless, lost count of rds through it. mine is 9mm, takes 10rd glock mags, shoots pretty flat to 100 yards, lebaron sells winchester 100 rd box for 23.99, is ar interchangeable (trigger, pistol grip, rail) and non res, free float barrel, tons o fun, buy extra mags

great info, I'm looking specifically at .40 cal since I own Glock 22 and already have extra mags + I reload at the cost of 17c or so.
Thanks

They've been around for over a year now, so not that new. I have the 9mm version and it takes glock mags , cant remember the exact nr of rounds to date(~500) , but it has run flawlessly after the first 50 rds and a good cleanup when received. Haven't cleaned it again yet ,as it hasn't jammed. I just spray it with rem-oil after shooting it. Amazingly accurate to 140 yards , haven't tried further.

Had issues with my 40 when I got it . Working good now after changing some parts

I picked up a 9mm used, it was setup left handed, when I switched it back to right handed it didnt have an Extractor Spring in the bolt so I used one I found in a spring kit at work. I contacted the company about this and told them I bought it used and what it was missing. Not only did they send me 2 new springs and 2 new pins, they asked for the serial # to see if it needed any updates so they could send me anything else it may need all free of charge. Mine was the latest and greatest so all I needed was the spring. Good customer service in my books!

I have the 40 and I like it. Fun gun to shoot and plenty accurate for what it is. I just did my first full strip and clean, wasn't as difficult as I had heard but it is a bit of a pita to have to take the buffer tube off to get the bolt out. There are other pistol caliber carbines out there though so make sure you consider them all...I'm not necessarily convinced that the JRC is the best PCC out there but that being said, I'm sure I will hold onto mine and enjoy it for many years to come.

i have a gen2 9mm version all Magpuled out. Love it. I do have feeding issues with the double stacked high capacity glock mags. Also I found that KCI mags need a bit of work to make them fit properly. Other then that she is still my favorit plinker; actualy sold a USC/UMP build for it.

It seems the heavier the caliber the worse the feed problems. Most people with the 9mm seem to have no problems. .40S&W seems to have some problems that can be worked out. .45 seem to be full of problems. Sounds like these issues can be worked out with adjustments but, no gun should be sent out like that.

My .40S&W is working pretty good now, but considering the 'total' cost of these guns after adding sights or accessories I WOULD NOT BUY IT AGAIN.

One more annoyance. The butt stock comes pinned and can't be moved...WTF. I called JR directly and they told me they were required by law to ship them that way and it is not easy to fix! Another reason to stay away. I give this gun a 6 out of 10.
