AR Build- Lower Receiver Advice - Need Opinions!

Hey guys,

I'm looking for lower receiver opinions for my AR 15 Build. It will be below a 16" barrel attached to a VLTOR MUR-1 upper. I'd like to keep the lower under $600. Thoughts on buying the pre built VLTOR lower from ARMS EAST? I was also contemplating using an STI stripped lower and building it myself. Obviously, I'd like the best fit possible with the highest quality parts within my budget. If I'm missing anything let me know!
 
Ouuuu no I haven't! 490+tax &shipping without a buffer/spring/tube though. Definitely something else to consider though. I don't know anything about Cadex though. Is it quality stuff?
 
Just ordered the VLTOR VRA-R lower from ArmsEast on the weekend ($100 cheaper than Armtac) to go with my VIS-3 that's waiting for my 18" barrel to be made (in week number six now). Aiming for a good fit of upper and lower is what led me to the VLTOR lower, they seem to be fairly well regarded.

That upper deserves a quality lower....You could probably get it all done close to your budget...

That complete Aero lower is tempting at half of what I had allotted myself. I read nothing but going things about them but I just cant believe it is as good as people say it is coming in at $300. I think Noveske or VLTOR might be the route I take. It'll be at least a few weeks before I can afford to start so I'll have some time to think it over.

I never said that. I know nothing of Aero. Therefore, I am skeptical. "Brand names" have proven themselves via LE/Military contracts or worldwide by professionals. Generally, you get what you pay for. I'm in the process of learning more about Aero Precision.

Also, coming in here, promoting a product, then throwing attitude around like that leads me to believe you're one of those "Norcs are as good as everything on the market" people. Show me some tried and tested results and I'd be more inclined to have faith in that product.

saw it in person on sunday. i dont think Lanz would be bringing in something they dont trust.

glocks are polymer, and they run great.

but still...im reading into it, as i still know very little about ar's

I love how companies do that. Spew utter BS like that. People wonder why I question less popular brands and designs. I could be totally wrong, but I think ploy AR's are a loooong way away.
 
Two ways to look at it. A lower is a lower really - get the cheapest possible.. In Canada if you play games, a ninjafied flared magwell lower is the way to go that is fancy as can be. Then you go Cadex.

So cheapest possible or Cadex. Hmm save $100 -200 on a rifle that will last you forever really. Get the Cadex. The combo package with Oneshot looks great. Cadillac upper with Premo lower.

My ATR lower doesnt fit well with my MUR-1A upper. Malled the upper and lower putting them together. Don't go with out of milspec stuff - not worth it.
