Best Coyote gun?

I don't right now but I'd like to start one day.

I would recommend the .223 for the variety of bullet selection and longevity of the barrel if you want to put 1000s of bullets through it.

I have done the gauntlet of coyote rifle/cartridge combo's from 17 Rem/204 Ruger/223/22-250/243/6mm-284/6.8SPC/30-06/300 WM etc etc

My go to coyote rifles this winter are going to be my 18.6" barreled Robinson Arms XCR-L in 6.8SPC loaded with 95gr TTSX @ 2880fps and my 23" barreled T/C Contender carbine in 6.8SPC loaded with 95gr TTSX @ 2960fps.

I use the same load in both rifles.

.243 with 87gr Vmax @3200fps. Not enough left to bother skinning which is just the way I want them

I had one actually blow in half from a shoulder shot, not a "fur friendly" round for sure.
