Booked off next week for the deer hunt. The property i had permission to has now been sold.
So looks like i'll be hitting up crown as much as i can..
Gotta find a decent camp to join for next season. Anyone wanting to join for a hunt id be up for making plans
If not good luck to the fellow hunters heading out next week

I've done hunting alone. It's ok provided you don't get into trouble, like get stuck or fall down and break something.

When I lived in southern Ontario I hated the hunting options there. Now that I live in northern Alberta, it's crown land up the ying-yang and lots of hunting to be had.

I go solo more than with others.
No time table that way.
Ohhh, can we be back after lunch?
Sorry, I slept in.
Can you roll the window up, I'm cold.
Fraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack........
More fun tak'in the pup fur out.

I just got my license a couple weeks ago. I am also in SW Ontario (Hamilton). I've been trying to dig up some people to hunt with, but seems like if I'm going to do any this year it will be solo

For the most part I hunt alone. My son comes out with me now and then but 9 out of 10 times I'm alone. My hunting buddies have gotten too il or have passed away and it has become impossible to find others to hunt with so I gave up trying. Now I find I look forward to the time to get away from all the demands on me and just relax and breath the fresh air. I walk where ever I want, set up blinds where I want and I don't need to coordinate or phone and organize anything. I just hop in the truck and go.

Alone is nice, but it sure is nice to have someone with you when hunting large game, such as moose. If you knock known a moose, the extra body sure does help when gutting, skinning, quartering, etc....

My plan was to be out all week to better my chances at filling my tag. If i dont fill my tag at least its time in the bush. Lol

I dont like hunting alone either.. I would have taken you out if we didnt already get our deer.
Im sure someone on here will offer to let you tag a long. Its not to late, so best of luck on getting a deer
Keep us posted on your results.

Depends what you are hunting. I like to have a friend along for big game to help out, but prefer to go out alone for grouse, rabbit and all other small game.

I work 4 on 4 off shift work. If I had to wait for others I wouldn't get out much. Kids have to go to school, friends have to work...nice to have companionship but I hunt solo at the drop of a hat!
