Base 220 has a better double action and single action trigger than my HK USP, but that's what Sig is known for. 220 is a "feed everything/can't stop it" workhorse. I was considering the HK45 as my next purchase but the price and my German Sig 220 makes it unnecessary.
Wow for a pistol newbie you did great. It took me many many many guns to end up at where you are.
Nice Garand. Now what was this thread about?![]()

HK45 trigger in DA is fine...a little heavy but there are many ways you can use the gun so you never will have to shoot DA if you don't like it (unless you want to second strike a round that didn't go off...something you CANNOT do with a striker fired gun).
You Can carry it cocked and locked, can carry it with an empty chamber and loaded man and rack the slide when you want to use it, can thumb the hammer after the draw on the way up to your grip (takes no longer then a normal draw once you get good) OR you can put a LEM kit in it.
Personally I just left mine...I think mastering DA makes you a better shooter and after a few 1000 rounds you forget about how you used to dislike it and you just shoot it. DA/SA gives you options and that is something I enjoy.
The HK USP 45 is my unrealistic fantasy gun. I'll probably never get one because I have a HK45. But man do I want one.
Maybe.... I should do a ton of OT and buy one anyways..
