Yes they did. I unfortunately saw the Aussi remake. It sucked. The original was much better.

It's not a reamke....it's a continuance. It's set shortly after Thunderdome. Gibson was too old to play him again so they are getting Tom Hardy. It's called Mad Max: Fury Road. Mel makes a cameo as a drifter. Will be interesting. George Miller, who directed the original Road Warrior is directing again so it should be pretty good.
 
Just an average 80's movie and the re-make will be brutal, like always. Shouldn't this thread be in the Lounge? :confused:

I wouldn't put this movie in the class with Mad Max, at all.

What's wrong with you people..??.....it's not a remake.....it's the 4th installment is the series. George Miller, who wrote, produced, and directed all of the Mad Max movies is doing it all again. They were going to do it in 2000 with Mel again, but things fell through. It is not a remake.

Wasn't talking about Mad Max, go back and read what I wrote. Red Dawn was an average movie and doesn't belong in the same sentence with Mad Max (a true cult classic)... clear enough for you?

You are way off topic... maybe you should start another thread about Mad Max in the Red Rifle section... :p

My mistake sorry.....:p I agree on the Red Dawn remake....you can't remake a classic like that. How can you still call it Red Dawn with North Koreans..?? Red is not the color that comes to mind when I thin of North Korea.

It's all crap they look good on the outside. The guts are crap. An electronic nightmare all that crap will be parked or taken out in the first few weeks of battle.

When I was a kid I saw mad max and road warrior and thought it was cool. I watched all 3 movies a few months ago and relized that some of the characters were ###. The guy with the Mohawk had a guy riding on the back and most of them were wearing leather and after awhile it looked like a ### pride parade. Not that there is anything wrong with that. When I was a kid I thought they were tuff guys and now they are just a bunch of fruits.
