Well my Wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas this Year and she noticed I was looking at some SKS Rifles on the computer and she said.."you already have 3 of those" and I said "yeah but this one is laminated"...She kind of gave me that "your kidding right" look and then smiled and said go ahead order it but it is going under the Tree when it gets here.......I think my Wife is a keeper.........;)

They will keep multiplying until the safe is full. Mine have even accepted their lone Chinese stepbrother into the fold.

SKS is THE truck gun!!! The only upgrade worth doing to them is the tech peep sight...should cut your groupings in half!!!

Russian #6 on the way for me. A superb 1955 dated Tula. I keep buying and selling. I am now limiting my collection to mint non-refurbs, with the exception of an all-marching laminate '53 Izhevsk (serial number OP8) and my Arma-Coated all-matching '52 "frankenpin" set in an early style ATI folder ('cause everbody needs one bubba). :)

I still have some very interesting and rare SKS variations.

TULA no date (1956) letter serie "K" unrefurb with solid and laminated stokcs.

TULA no date (1956) letter serie reversed "N" unrefurb with solid and laminated stocks.

TULA no date (1956) letter serie "D" unrefurb with solid stock (one only)

AND , if I dig a little, I will find unrefurbs and refurbs IZHEVSK one's.

AND I have a special on the most commun one , TULA 1954 unrefurb.

An avid collector tell me, it's the firt time he saw an original SKS without a date (1956) with a solid not laminated stock,

they seem very rare??????

By solid stock, do you mean that the stock was'nt an older one reused with the new serial number stamped on it?
