That and it's hard to get any ballistic evidence from a bullet that never touches the bore, wasn't it tabled to make them illegal in Canada?
Not that I ever heard, but then, I don't spend any time within earshot of the 'experts' behind the gun counter, if I can help it. I've heard that excuse for, among other things, not having Hollow Point ammo in stock, as well as Full Metal Jacket ammo (Wholesale in Edmonton North, go figure), so I would not be surprised if it started at a similar source.
At the speed those pills traveled, there was not any ballistic information to be got, from the disintegrated bullet, anyways.
They were a crappy product that went away by natural causes, to whit: they got tried, they didn't live up to the sales pitch, and they died a natural death.
I could see some of the anti's believing that they were all that it would have took to start anarchy rule, but they thought that about cartridge activated nail guns and a bunch of other stuff.
Cheers
