hello everybody!

ive ordered the SKS combo offered by CanadaAmmo, and sadly weeks later (now) i haven't receive any call
from the GRC offering me to transfer the firearm to my name.

Do CanadaAmmo forgot to transfer it?

What do i do? i didn't receive the package yet, but i wonder about calling and asking to register a "ghost"...
Can someone help me on that matter, few advice maybe?

in quebec yes,

i bought a 10/22 in a store not long ago, and we "registered" it.

edit:
normally they are suppose to call the GRC and tell them my # name and the like.
the GRC call me back to comfirm the transfer.
DONE!

i think the owner has to register it and if they sell it out side of quebec they have to remove it...

So since there is no law, they don't really have to register anything, though I would hate to be the test case of how it goes if "caught" with unregistered guns. Court cases cost way too much.

They've been working on their site performance. Maybe your email got lost or was incorrectly identified as spam?
Did you create the email thru their site or send it from your email?
I sent them one using their site last Sunday and I haven't heard back either but mine was an inquiry vs an order.
So I would call, send them an email using their site, an email from your site & send a PM.

CanadaAmmo is not the problem.

i was just asking how could and if possible, to register a "ghost".
do i need CanadaAmmo info, or i just tell miramichi my info?

per several lawyers, and Minister of Public Safety Vic Toews, you do not need to register new guns in QC, only keep the data.

if you want to register, simply call 1-800-731-4000. We do not get involved with the process.

By the experience I heard, Miramichi does not care about registering non-restricted weapons. After many talk, it ended with something like send it in in writing when someone tried to register a non-restricted bought like you did. Of course, the SQ was not of this opinion.

When you buy a non-restricted in a private sale, they tell the seller that the Quebec buyer calls them. When the quebec buyer calls them, see example above.

I guess that if Quebec want to keep the registry that much, they'll have to pay (sadly with my money) pretty quick to get his own registry up. They did not destroy the data because of the court order, but I don't think they have to keep updating the registry for Quebec.

Exactly!

1-You should never expect a call from RCMP even when you buy a restricted firearm from a dealer.
2-When you are buying from an individual it is different, you have to confirm that you buy a restricted firearm where ever you are in Canada.
3-Same is for two individuals living in Quebec whether the firearm is or is not restricted.
4-Now if you live in Quebec and you are buying a non restristed firearm from a dealer or an individual outside of Quebec, the seller only has to validate if you have a valid PAL and it is the duty of the buyer in Quebec to register this non restricted firearm to the RCMP.
5-In the opposite side if you live in Quebec and you sell a firearm to an individual outside of Quebec, then the Quebec seller has to validate that the buyer has a valid PAL and he has to ask the RCMP to remove this firearm from his registered inventory and no need to provide the buyer's name ... the registry do not exist anymore outside of Quebec.

That being said... right now in Quebec, it is a joke to get an unregistered non restricted firearm... I guess the mob is pretty much aware of it and they are pilling up for the future... So at the end they should just decide to remove the registery as well in Quebec instead of just pissing off poor hunters with no criminal intention...
