nope. i paid $80. heres what happened.
i work at a large sporting goods retailer. we have customers coming in to the store looking to asell/trade used guns, however we no longer deal in them. on occasion an employee will buy them. i was working in the back when when a co worker said " there's a guy out here wants to sell an old 410, would you give him $70 for it" i said "sure why not" i had no idea what model or condition it was, i assumed it would be a cooey 840 or something similar, which around here is worth all of seventy bucks. anyways buddy brings it in the back cased sets it in the corner and i don't look at it for another 15 minutes as i am busy mounting a scope.when i realized what it was i asked if they where still here but had left at that point. i never even saw the person that brought it in. repaid my coworker and gave him an extra $10.
i didn't set out to screw anyone over i'm not that kind of person. had i been dealing direct with them it probably would have happened quite differently. i did feel a little guilty, but as i look back at it i have nothing to be ashamed of. the above poster obviously knows me (pissed off co worker perhaps, wanted it for himself?) and seems to have an axe to grind, but prefers to do it behind an internet alias. whatever, i could care less what they think.
