Anyone hear about a huge deer shot in Sask? (warning NO pics, just asking)

Were you looking at the Sask. pick up buck on B and C?

Were or WHERE??

P.s - There are a few listings from sk. Some nice animals on there this year

Maybe this one...? Taken near Meadow Lake. Gorgeous symmetrical 6x6.

As the story was relayed to me, it apparently took the hunter a few days to locate it and wolves got to it in the interim. This is really all the info I have, so apologies for not being able to answer any questions.

I don't think I would have been all smiles about losing a buck like that... not sure I could even bear to take pictures. The one below looks like the same buck to me too.

I heard this one came from down by Frontier SK, that's all I know

I believe it was stated previously that the photo was on the B and C website.

except it was shot about 500kms away.
Meadow Lake to Biggar is 500KM???? You taking the scenic tour?

IMO its actually not lacking mass but the tine length makes it look spindly

And like when a woman asks, "do these jeans make my ass look fat?" ;)

It's spindly.

check the right g2. One on there's a kicker and not on the other

I'm not seeing that, sorry. They look like the same deer to me as well.

They are definitly the same deer. Besides the similarities that have already been pointed out the kicker is that the brow tines are identical in both photos. Shorter one on the left and a small polished protrusion on the right hand, long side (photo side) half way up. Quite noticable on the bright photo and can be seen against the jacket in the dark photo.

The buck is spindly and I would give him 4 4/8 circumferences on most measurements. However, what main beams and tine length....................he's a hog!!! This is a 200 class trophy that hunters just don't see very often, and hat's off to Saskatchewan for producing such trophy class deer. Congradulations to the hunter and I'm sure that he can pick up a cape at a taxidermist shop.

This is the email I got. No info was given along with it. Beauty of a deer. I could see it grossing about 207 and netting low 190's.

OMG!!! Another big hog from Saskatchewan. Man, Saskatchewan is just the best for big whitetails. A big congradulations to this young man who harvested big boy!!!

i will rephrase and say that both g2's are split. Different deer.

I think there's a bit of miscommunication here. What we're saying is that these bottom two are the same. The deer in the above post with the intact face is obviously different.

The deer was shot by goodsoil, talked to the hunter last night in lloyd at exsile outdoors, saw it get scored too. it was shot at last light and the coyotes went to work on it. crazy how fast rumors get started haha IIRC the tag was notched nov. 16th.
