I bought a 760 in 308 last night. It's going to be cut down to 20", trigger done and D&T for a Lyman receiver sight.
I also have an 18 1/2" Carbine and like 20" better.
Huh? .......... Couldn't wouldn't shouldn't do what?Must be an eastern thing.
I couldn't wouldn't shouldn't do it.
If I recall correctly, you're originally from Ontario, same as me.Only Westerners get it!

Were I to get one of those Remington's I'd get the semi-automatic version. there is no need to shoot hundreds of rounds through it if it is a hunting rifle so the semi-automatic version will hold up. The pump just seems wrong somehow. Needed in Penn and perhaps N.Y. state due to their hunting regulations but here in Ontario or Canada it just seems un-necessary. Get an 870.
Just stating my opinion. I use a lever, by the way. No 300 Win Mag required in Ontario unless.....better not say.
Go get one, you just can't be in the club![]()

Nice gun. I have one in camo but honestly find it uncomfortable to pump compared to a 7600.
Also here I cannot hunt with a mag like that unless pinned to 5 and if I put the 10 in it is a restricted.
It's been awhile since I've gone over the rules, but why can't a manually operated repeater have a 10rd mag? I thought it was only semis that were restricted. I also thought those 10 round lar or whatever they were called went thru some loophole on the restricted a due to the fact they are pistol mags.
Don't want to derail the original thread, the 7615 qualifies in my eyes, although lacking the über sofisticatio of the 760/7600.
For the 7615, a 10 round rifle mag is prohibited as the 7615 takes "AR" mags, the LAR 10 round pistol msg is legal.
Rifles (semi auto) are 5 rounds pistols 10. The mag limit applies to what the mag is designed for. The 10 round AR pistol mag is designed for a pistol but can legally be used in AR rifles. 10 round pistol mags can also legally be used in pistol calibre carbines. In addition, a pistol mag marked for 10 rounds of .45 but can hold 13 or 14 rounds of 9mm is also legal.
