The only thing I do not like about my 760 is that, as the sun is about to rise over the deer woods, my rifle won't let me silently slide a round into the chamber or insert the mag into the bottom with nary a click. It needs a good SLAP!-SLAM! to ensure all is locked up right.

Here's one I pieced together for this year 30.06 carbine. Doug might recognize this one. New stock, burris rings and mount, barrel band and a Leupold VX2 1-4 also from this sight. This is starting to get a little out of hand. There's so many nice guns out there.

Whoo Hooo, just got back from a couple hours at the range with my new to me 308 760, what a shooting machine. Held moa out to 300yds. I worked my magic on the trigger, mounted a trijicon 1-4 with the green post in some signature rings. To say I'm happy is an understatement, what a sweet shooting little rifle. I was going to chop her to twenty inches, but may just leave as is. I picked up a whack of 150g Winchester power points, and it certainly likes them. I should also add I'm sold on the trijicon scope, very slick unit.

7600 is like walking around the woods with a baby rattle ......say what

tell that to him I caught him laying in his bed at 40 paces ...sept 2 2010 he never heard it coming till i pulled the triger

Been hunting with a 7600 since 1983.....Got to love it !!!

Just sent my 7600 to Jeff my gunsmith friend to get chopped down to 19...Will post pics when she gets home to papa!
I bought a 760 in 308 last night. It's going to be cut down to 20", trigger done and D&T for a Lyman receiver sight.

I also have an 18 1/2" Carbine and like 20" better.

That reminds me, I have a minty 7600 in .30-06 that needs to go to a new home ;)...............one of these first months I must be overdue for a "Gun of the Month Club" sale.............
