Whats Your build plan for the 125$ NEA lower?

So, who does make NEA barrels? I got an NEA 12.5" barrel for my build. As much as people complain about their quality, you can't beat a lifetime warranty on a part that is known to wear out.

they buy blanks, that i believe are solid and then they make them...so technically yes and technically no.
its like saying your kid isnt yours, because its your wifes... she didnt get pregnant on her own...

That's an NEA made barrel in my books. I thought someone was saying they bought the barrels from another company and just sold them under their own name. I doubt pepsi makes their own cans, but we don't say we're drinking an Alcan cola do we?

NEA buys blanks and makes them into AR barrels as do the majority of AR manufacturers. Who in Canada makes their own barrel from scratch...ie a solid hunk of steel.

Colt Canada for sure, Lakefield Arms (I've seen the machinery), all the custom barrel makers - MacLennan, Smith, Gaillard, McFee.
It is easier to outsource blanks, of course. Making good barrels probably has a steeper learning curve than CNC machining receivers.

I would say that making good barrel blanks is at least 5 times as difficult as making recievers

Ok, so last night I assembled my LPK on my NEA Christmas special lower. Everything went absolutely perfectly from what I can tell. All pins fit snugly, but required only a minimal tap to slide into place. In short, I'm extremely pleased so far. My receiver extension tube and buffer aren't here yet, but other than that the lower is complete with a Daniel Defense lower parts kit and all fits.

I also put my Spike's Tactical upper on, and it fit snugly, but again, seated with a slight tap of my hand on the flat top.

This is my first AR build, I was nervous that something wouldn't fit because of everyone complaining about the NEA lowers, but I am extremely impressed so far.
