Hello everyone, I'm not especially good with words so please bear with me 
Do you guys find that when you cycle bulk packs of 22lr, sometimes you get shots that seem to be underpowered, and are more prone to jamming? And when it does jam, it is usually because the rounds in the magazine aren't pushed up fast enough, mostly because it's dirty? But a simple "shake" would allow the next bullet to slowly slide up in a dirty magazine?
Comparatively, it seemed to me that when I cycle hotter rounds such as CCI Mini-mags and CCI Stingers, I pretty much have no problem, even with the same dirty magazine.
One connection that I was able to relate is that when you run hotter rounds(Mini-mags, Stingers), they tend to send the bolt flying back with great force, hitting the back of the receiver/cross pin with a very noticeable shock; while underpowered rounds do not hit the cross pin, and the action can jam anytime. (To be fair, the "hotter" rounds have NEAR zero incidents in the thousands I've shot, while with the bulk packs it would jam 1 in 50 rounds)
I am tempted to draw the conclusion that this bolt impact is actually helping to "shake" the next round free of grime/wax/carbon, and up to the top of the feed lips for the bolt to catch onto.
Does anyone agree that "shaking" the magazine by bolt clash under recoil is one of the most important mode of increasing reliability of the cycling process?
If so, do modifications that are aimed to reduce bolt force (i.e. chamfering the bolt) helps increase magazine reliability?
Or... did I smoke too much
