I love how anyone cares if DD puts up a showy commercial. It's like having a commercial where professional drivers are stunt racing Dodge rams. Does anyone really need to do synchronized drifting in the nevada desert? Ideally no. And what kind of commercial do you want? Some other random dude just standing there saying "DD rocks"? how fun would that be. There is no bad publicity, only publicity you didnt get.
Basically the commercial shows: the gun is tough, a tool and not a princess. It is made for more than just stand and plink. Rob Pinkus is more athletic than you and obviously doesnt give a.
I mean has anyone seen the sonny pudzikas info vids? That is some crazytoo but would you rather have 2 dozen Pudzikas' or pinkus' on your team or 2 dozen overweight gun nerds that talk sheet on the internet and rarely take their training beyond stand and plink [or even worse sit and plink]? I find its always the fat kids that
about other peoples athleticism. just sayin'

Who is Rob Pincus, is he a stunt man?
If i buy a rifle made by a company with a fancy motto can I also jump over tall hay bails in slow motion?
Also serious question time; when he runs dry and does a mag change, why is he manipulating the charging handle and not the bolt catch? It seems to me that slapping the bolt catch would be faster. Or maybe that's just the "institutional inertia" from how I was taught.
D!NK
I think the scope is mounted normal and he's using forty five degree offset backup iron sights
Correct me if I'm wrong
I'm not expert on systems/carbine manipulation/jumping on car trunks/jumping over hay/etc

There marketing vid belongs in Hollywood with the brain dead idiots, what is going on.....
There products are awesome, but I guess they want all Shrubmasters buyers as well....

No cartwheel?
Lame.
I'm with you on this except that having Sonny 'on your team' may not be as amazing as you think.
Rob Pincus does have some kind of strange ideas IMO...he's extremely athletic and pretty in to crossfit and plyometric workouts so he does a lot of box-jump kind of stuff and I think it's resulted in a lot of "look at Rob doing this crazy fitness thing" stuff in his videos, which to me is a little pointless as far as the guns themselves go. On the other hand, maybe there's an argument for it just because it does give you some sense of who the guy is...pretty hard core shooter, anyway.
At any rate I have seen a few pretty oddball items from him over the last year or two but he's a big name, which is why DD is putting him out there.
There's a lot of "look at the ninja" stuff done in this industry that personally I find pretty hurting, but there's a market for it.
I consider it a very close cousin to the "used by Seal Team 13 Delta Ops Unit Attack Squad to kill Robot Hitler" stuff you always see about various guns from Colt 1911s to HK416s. It's ###, but it's not entirely ineffective.

is in every magpul video? tons. But they explain it well and it is a legit option if you are into it. People treat those videos as the gospel. It's an industry catering to a niche market [sorta] and marketing is marketing. As stated, this marketing is doing good. I would totally buy a DD if I were into AR's. That being said I like my dirty little Norinco too much to cheat on her. So long as I put a PMag up her butt and grease her a bit she eats whatever I feed her, doesnt stop and doesnt want to be cleaned. Perfect. She's heavy too, just the way i like them
