Also: my AR came with an AFG too and I'm not sure if I'll keep it. Feels weird coming from the Tavor.

Ugh, yeah, I know. I figured that out after I already had everything mounted and was too lazy to fix it right away. I'm going to fix it when I mount my EOtech.
I actually bought my AFG separately (along with the MBUS). The DDM4 V5 comes with a Daniel Defense foregrip that is way too big, IMO (there are pictures on the DD site with it). I have a Cadex stubby vert grip on my ISSC MK22 and I like that, and so far I'm actually quite liking the AFG. I've heard that the AFG is kind of hit and miss as to whether or not people like it though. So far, I find it more ergonomic to use, but doesn't provide QUITE as much leverage to get a good tight grip and pressure rearward to your shoulder. I like it so far, but I'll have to do a bit more shooting with it to see if I keep it or go back to a vert grip.

that afg you have is an AFG1 not a AFG2. The AFG2 does not have those wing on the side and will fit your rifle better. i ordered an AFG2 from a site sponsor and was sent a afg1 but luckily it fits on my ar fine
Good to know... I definitely ordered an AFG2 (just checked my order confirmation), so I assumed that's what I got. However, you're definitely right -- I just double checked the box, and it's the first-gen. Meh -- it fit fine after my rasp-induced surgery, so I'm not going to get worked up over it.
