I'm using a Savage 10 xp in .223. I use a foxpro and quiver critter as well as mouth calls and bait piles. To be honest, in 4 years of trying I have yet to seal the deal on a coyote, been busted several times and missed a few as well. They sure are tough to hunt. Partly because there aren't a ton of them here, they have large ranges and in my area they are few open areas.
I use the sled some this time of the year to get off the beaten trails and into new areas. I'm sure the noise and smell isn't helping me one bit but sleds and bikes are quite common around so surely they don't run every time they hear/ smell one?
