LEGAL 10 round SKS with detachable mag...accomplished!..

Sign me up for one ( dang full time production) If only you could make a stock with the mod that I could install on one of mine( wink wink) give me a shout if you have any left for sale . I hope it works out for you. Thanks jon
 
is it just me, or have we hit a new low? we are talking a expensive mod on a cheap rifle so it can run with ten rounds, when get this, it comes with a 10 round mag, that because of faulty legistation we pin to five.....

If we could put the effort required for stuff like this into fighting the law rather then skirting it.....

I am sure its much less effort and alot of more fun creating the mod then trying not to put a skirt on the law!!

It would cost a lot less money to outfit EVERY sks in Canada with this adapter than to change the mag capacity laws.. That involves a whole lot of lawyers and also bribi.. I mean "lobbying" of our elected representatives :cool:
 
Who's skirting any laws?

The XCR 10 round pistol magazine is an unregulated device. You don't even need a PAL to purchase or possess it.

There IS NO LAW regulating what firearms you can feed with it. Period.

Its just absolutely disgusting how much fear firearm owners i spoke to about this are instilled with...."oooh you better not let anyone catch you with that...." WTF? WHY!? its legal!! "yea well, you know...if someone hears 10 rounds...."

I told them to give me their guns, because obviously even owning them is creating a lot of anxiousness in their lives.
 
I'd love to say that there's a pile of them next to me ready to go, unfortunately that hasnt been the case.

Between exploring other manufacturing options to bring easier and cheaper production into play, to waiting for tooling and supplies to arrive its been a slow going, to other responsibilities getting in the way its been a slow progress....

With that being said, there at least IS progress and the first set of adapters should be ready to go soon.

I didnt want to keep bumping the thread for no apparent reason.

With that being said, i'm also looking into other SKS modifications that a lot of guys would want, not going to say too much until i have some more to show for it.

but is the sks grandfathered like the .303 brit. also as cool and i would not mind having one, but semi auto is legal for 5 rounds is it not?
 
Let me spell it out for you. The XCR PISTOL mag is legal to hold 10 rounds, as it is a PISTOL mag. If it happens to fit in a rifle, it is still a legal 10 round mag because it is a purpose built PISTOL mag. 10 rounds legal in Pistol mag.

Dude, you are wrong. Don't waste your time arguing because YOU ARE WRONG. The magazine in question is a PISTOL magazine and can therefore hold no more than 10 rounds of the cartridge for which it was designed. All magazine capacities are regulated by the number of cartridges a magazine was DESIGNED to hold. This is why we can legally stuff 13-14 9mm rounds in a 10rd. .40 S&W magazine or 18 (?) .223/5.56 rounds into a 5rd. .50 Beowulf magazine. That's the way the law works and the way it is written. We are not breaking or skirting any laws, merely following them ta a T.
