LEGAL 10 round SKS with detachable mag...accomplished!..

After 10 rounds of centerfire without a pause after five rounds, every Fudd within a 2km radius will be dialing 911 and hiding in their basements until they're given the okay to come out.

Such a hassle for the police to have to calm them all down.

Now I "know why!" You actually just refreshed my memory too. I personally heard that from a Games Officer when we were shooting 10/22s in the bush.

Ya, that was def on my mind when i went out to Crown Land...especially since i heard gun shots previously to my firing. So i knew there was someone in the vicinity....

Having a legal 10 round SKS and proving it in court at my expense are two different things. I didnt want to be hassled.

I fired approx 100 rounds and exfil quietly.

Have you guys checked out the Beowulf 50 cal ar mags 5 ten mags hold alot of rounds of 223 more then ten...crazy stuff In a nr tar 21 buddy has one on a YouTube vid apparently t97 will work with this exciting stuff

This has got to be one of the dumbest things I've ever read. What kind of pussy needs a break after five rounds? Sell your guns and go buy an air rifle, seems that's all you're able to handle.

When I need a juice box. What kind of guy needs more than 5 rounds at a time. I guess you like to pepper targets to saw look I hit it after 10 shots 1 is on target your awesome.

Very well done. The only thing you need is a Norgon style Ambi mag release, check them out on the net, it will cover all your bases for mag release. Get a dealer license to buy SKS's at cost and sell them as a finished product with one mag. If you could do them for under $500 per you have a great business going......

Sure. Having a good time shooting doesn't have to fit YOUR narrow description any more than I have to justify why I want more than five rounds in my rifle.

Just saw this i would be interested in one . I live in the GTA . I am also a Machinist by trade and if you had dimensions i could machine my own receiver.

From a purely aesthetic point of view, maybe square up the mag well? It can stick out, but being angular looks a little odd - isn't parallel to other parts of the gun which throws off the eye, plus I'm guessing is harder to get the angle right when milling.

Forgive me, for my practical knowledge of: practical mechanics, metalurgy, and, and... the other missing blanks ... could you not perform this witchcraft on a cz 858? Or is there an incomprehensible reason -that the lowly me cannot fathom. Is this the reason the cz has only been offered in a .223 mod? Cheers!

Sincerely, Thomas

CZ-858 in 7.62x39 was probably the first rifle modified to use the XCR-L 10 round pistol magazine. Have a look at them on Wolverine Supplies' site. http://www.wolverinesupplies.com/de...xed-Buttstock-with-BandT-Magwell-Adapter.aspx

See? You can already buy the CZ-858 pre-modified. That's where the idea to do it to an SKS came from.

Another way to use that magazine would be to buy an XCR rifle, of course. No modification required (just need the 7.62x39 version of the rifle).
