The Italians , though their kit was mostly obsolete their mechanics were fantastic and extremely reliable and well built!

Yeah, i'd love to raid those piles (heh heh). In perspective, it's a very small number of the 10's(or 100's) of thousands that were made.

Here is an interesting captured tank redone by its new masters.Finland converted captured Soviet BT-7s into assault guns by mounting a British WWI vintage 4.5" howitzer into an indigenously designed turret, becoming the BT 42.

One knocked out during the war in 1944:

Close to half a million Tommies made, IIRC, plus another million M-1s and M-1A1s.

As to Italian equipment, the Brits used every Italian M-37 Breda MMG they could get their hands on.

It was a FINE gun, as was the Beretta Model 38 SMG and its variants.

quad mount 40mm bofors, gravity fed from 4 round clips, you could get 1.5 clips in the gun at a time i think. you can see the clips in racks infront of the gun
