whats it like to shoot and clean?
Yeah the trigger thing is a bummer, know any dealers with a Tavor? I think if i got an XCR i'd get it in 308 so i could hunt with it. How do you like the ACR and USC?
Had an SL8... sold it, it was sooo heavy and long... NEver handled or shot a swiss though know any dealers with a NR one?
Personally I find cleaning a breeze, it's a piston gun, a good cleaning take 15-20 minutes with a proper cleaning kit. If you need to eat off of it then maybe a bit longer
The Swiss is probably one of if not the most accurate NR rifle out there regardless of what ammo you feed it. And definitely fun. You can get a AR mag adapter for it if you insist on using LAR-15 mags, but there are other options too, the XCR is a fine rifle, and if gizmo's and gadgets are your thing then it's the best modular NR rifle out of the box.
I run a Swiss and the Old man runs the XCR, their both fun, again my vote goes to the Swiss, but your preferences may differ from mine.

Really? I've found the Swiss Arms to be one of the better ones accuracy wise. It certainly beats the VZ-58 and Tavor, and I don't think you can say that the SL8, MR1 and XCR are significantly more accurate than the Swiss (sure, some are better than others, but we're talking the big picture here). The biggest con to the Swiss Arms is the inability to free float the barrel, which does give the others a slight advantage, but considering a consistent 1MOA is possible out of the Swiss with the right ammunition, it's hardly a slouch in the accuracy department.
Travor, Swiss Arms, R700P in Accuracy International Stock (pretty much a black rifle after that)
+1 for the Tavor 21. I got mine a few days ago, have about 500 rds through it so far - close to 1000 rounds through it now in total including use from the original owner. Functions flawlessly. I won't hesitate to buy another one for my son when he gets a bit older.
While I agree the sl8is heavy and long in stock format, with a different butt stock it's a whole different rifle. Also, it's class in weight to the swiss arms non-restricted. Depends what you intend to use it for and if you need a bull barrel or not.

Of the Two, which is easier to handle? (like placement of safety, mag changes, etc?) Nice shooting BTW looks like a lot of fun![]()
Nice iron sights on the Swiss. Good work on the mag changes too![]()
Where do I get a backyard like that?![]()
I know my rem700 .308, or 7.62x54 I've shot moose with it at 500 yards and the freekin bullets basically bounce off them lol
I don't care to split hairs, and for me the Swiss is plenty accurate enough. When shooting against some of the others I wouldn't bet the house on the Swiss NR, cqb maybe but not the NR.Really? I've found the Swiss Arms to be one of the better ones accuracy wise. t.

agreed, the op asked about NR's. I've seen the cqb swiss hold under 1/2 moa, and not just the odd one.Actually, I'd bet you may find the CQB even MORE accurate than the rifle.

Steve, I'll put up my VZ in 5.56 up against your swiss arms any day of the week. Name a time and place.
