Woot!!!! Anyone have a source for AR-15 pistol holsters?
No use for AR-15 pistols. Minimum caliber 9mm. At very minimum, you'll have to use 308 pistol...
I was thinking 50 Beowulf..... clubs should start upgrading their steel, lol!
.
After quickly checking the only rule I can see that might prohibit an AR based pistol is:
5.1.10 Handguns with shoulder stocks and/or fore grips of any kind are prohibited (see Rule 10.5.15).
What do you guys think about Walther pistols?
They don't seem all that popular, or maybe they are and are just rarely sold used and don't have many issues or parts you can mod?
I don't know
Ya looks like I read it wrong.
It says sp01 shadow target
http://www.ipsc.org/rules/proddiv.php
Well that makes things easier. I've wanted a shadow for a while, now just have to figuer out 9mm or 40sw... And if they make the shadow in 40sw.
When I read the list saying the shadow wasn't approved it kinda threw me, a friend of mine specifically said that's what he used.
Thanks for the info everyone.
well that kinda sucks, thanks for the info. il pass on the walthergood guns but my buddy has been waiting on a new barrel for his for something like 2 years now (lug broke i believe) so not a good choice for IPSC
Just about ANY 9mm is good enough to take your black badge with and get started. If you're new to IPSC, don't worry about the durability of your firearm for the first few matches; you won't be putting enough rounds through it to cause any major problems. If you find yourself going to several matches and practicing regularly then you might consider getting that new gun, but by then you'll have talked to enough people and handled enough guns that you can make a decision.
well, i do quite a bit of shooting......ive had my glock 17 for 4-6 months and have about 1400 down the pipe...
maybe i should rephrase that a little, ive only had a r-pal for about a year...maybe slightly less.1400 rounds in 4 to 6 months is not a lot of shooting by IPSC standards.
