canadiantire sells sks

Canadian Tire Fredericton $149!....All though I did hear an employee there telling a customer that sks`s fire .22 lr wtf mate

CT in Barrie Bantario also is stocking all the red rifles. Buddy bought a couple over holidays as stocking stuffers and I got to check out. Looked good. Hope this is a sign that CT is going back to the old days.

my receipt says 159.99 comes to a total of 180.79. but as for them saying they shoot .22 they need to do home work...haha. if you buy one check for the cleaning kit they don't put them in the stock.

Yes if ya get one in Freddy make sure ya get all the xtra bits from the gun locker out back.Mine came with the standard sling/oil bottle/cleaning kit/ammo pouch and x3 stripper clips.May have to prod the counter staff tho.The dude that sorted me out on Sunday was very helpful and took me out back to pick out a nice one.

My closest CT does have firearms back in stock but they make prices on the EE look good. No SKS but I will go take another look.

ha :)
had to call my local CT...and they've got a whack too. $199.

Update: I went by and took a look at what they had in stock here. All were missing the cleaning kit and they don't come with the oil can.

I will never buy ammo or guns from CT. I dont know about the rest of them, but the one in North Bay still keeps long gun ledgers and also keeps an ammo ledger WITH home addresses ontop of your PAL information. Not required by law. I called them on it once and they hid behind the usual bullschitt that " its the law and we are just following it". Wankers cant even fess up to the fact they are enforcing anti gun policies above and beyond whats required.

You should really check your facts first.

Well long gun ledgers arent required, so theres one strike against them and one reason why I wont buy a gun there, ever. It also happens that Canadian Tire is the only place that has ever asked me for my home address before when buying ammo. Even the other box store in town, Wal Mart, doesnt do that, even though they take the rest of your info down. Infact, Canadian Tire and Walmart are the only two places Ive purchased ammo at that even record any info at all. Maybe other places keep an automatic ledger on the computer when you go to the check out with your ammo? Possible. All I know is that CT and Walmart are the only places I know of that keep ammo ledgers, and CT is the only one of those two that asks for your home address. I see your point with that link to the actual law, but what Ive experienced from my many years of buying ammo is vastly different.

if they start to write stuff down it is your right to stop the transaction, and inform them that the laws have changed. as for me when i buy ammo they write down the type of ammo is sold. other then that do you have your pal ok have a nice day.even take in a copy of the law and show them.

I am concerned about CT and Wal-Mart keeping my address in a ledger that is kept unsecure with minimum wage teen agers or young adults having access to the ledger. What if someone got a hold of the ledge and decided to pay me a visit to acquire my guns and or Ammo.

I may have purchased from Wal-Mart in the past but no more as the risk is way too high

Sorry to derail the thread here guys. Just thought I'd mention that to anyone thinking of going to buy an SKS or any other long gun ( or ammo) from CT.

Might just be an Ontario CT thing then. They take PAL info and home address for everything and it all goes into ledgers.

Wow! Congrats! What CanTire is selling those exactly? No CanTire in my area are even close to selling firearms. An few boxes of ammo is as far as they normally go. I'm talking GTA here, of course.
