Hey,

Looking for a lower to last me a life time.

Not sure what is the best route to go?

What are the differences between them?

Any other options?

I like the cadex but it just seems like a fancy Aero? Dlask is forging? Old school? Best? ATRS?

Thanks. I am just looking to get what I pay for.

I really like the ATRS billet lower. Full ambi setup and looks awesome... can't say the same for the price tag... $685 bones is a lot of money.

I want a stripped ATRS lower, they dont sell it. What are my other ambi options on our market? Since I am left handed.

Any of them should last you. They are all made of the same metal.

Cadex seems far from being an Aero.
If you like the Cadex, then go for it.

I have a Dlask, I like it just fine.

I personally do not like the "improved" look of cadex but thats just me. I like the milspec look. I have an Aero and its great quality.

ATRS will be your best bet. The reason why they don't sell it stripped is because it uses a few proprietary parts that aren't milspec and need modifying. Use your parts kit for supplemental repair purposes.

Otherwise, the AP stripped lowers are your best bet. It's not Canadian but its as solid as they get. Best buy.

I have both, and they are both awesome in their respective ways.

Rick and the folks @ ATRS will glady install a customer's LPK and or simply an aftermarket trigger assembly at no cost - at least the last time I looked into it. They do have to bend a few springs to make it work.

Quality wise anything ATRS is right up there with the best of 'em & it's Canadian on top of it (so is Cadex of course).

This is untrue. IF you have a LPK we ASK that you send it to us so we can do the modifications required to some of the springs and small parts that are required for the LPK to operate in our lower. We offer this work at NO COST in order to assure that the finished product functions and is assembled correctly.
We tried selling stripped lowers to purportedly informed consumers as well as dealers who work on ARs daily. In too many cases parts were improperly modified or improperly installed and ofcourse we got blamed for the malfunctioning lower when it was an assembly issue by persons not capable of doing the minor modification. Consequently we decided to solve this problem by only selling the lowers as functionally tested assembled units. This policy could be called quality control and customer service above and beyond.

Why anyone would prefer or want to chance either a fubar during install or having an EXPENSIVE high quality precision lower that does not function correctly over 1 that is professionally assembled and tested at NO ADDITIONAL COST eludes me.

No ETA for this as this point. 6 months + he told me.

Other than the iron cross, it's honestly no different than a stripped AP or DPMS lower. But ya, I want one anyways, lol.

Actually it is the ONLY forged lower with an integral trigger guard...

Re: Last a Lifetime

Do Lowers actually wear out?

How much paper punching do you do? LoL

Buy one that has the features you want. Plain or fancy. Ambi. Custom. etc.

Up to you. The lower just holds the trigger group and the stock.

Both of those will make you shoot better than any lower

My guess is that they are unaware of the idiosyncrasies of your lower receivers since this is not advertised anywhere on your website.
Some people get great satisfaction out of doing things themselves such as modifying cars, building engines, carpentry, building AR type rifles to name a few.

I have shot a bolt action rifle built by ATRS and ever since I've been thinking of purchasing a Gen 4 lower but I couldn't figure out why ATRS wouldn't sell the stripped lower.
This is the first time I've seen any mention that a MIL Spec LPK cannot be used and parts need to be modified in order to fit your lower.
Shouldn't this be mentioned somewhere on your site so people are aware that if something goes wrong in the future they cannot just replace X,Y, or Z with MIL Spec Parts?
Wouldn't a small writeup of the modifications or a Youtube video be of use to your clientele?
Couldn't the lower be made in a way that it would accept a standard MIL Spec LPK?
