No, but I like my pistol grips too: On my pistols.I like my pistol grips... does anyone have any suggestions for a tactical look shotgun that I could use for trap? Prefer semi.

Here you are! A trap gun with a pistol grip otherwise known as a the Ljutic Space Gun. Sorry, there's no bayonet mount available.

If you're just potting some clays, I don't think you'll have any problems (other than a few curious looks). But, if you're gonna compete in sanctioned events, you need to know that Optics are prohibited, and your mag, assuming your gun has one, must be blocked so it can only accept one shell.
I occasionally use my duck gun with a 28" ported barrel, just before the Fall, just to get ready, and nobody cares. But, it's a pump with a 2-round mag, so I couldn't use it in competition.
I've never shot one but have seen them in the U.S. Damn ugly gun.Hey Claybuster,
Have you ever shot one? Back in the day (80"s) I had 5 different buddies that had them . Not one could shoot well consistantly. Fun though, I shoot a Ljutic Mono T and am just purchasing a BiGun. I would buy a Space gun though just for ####s and giggle if one comes up in Canada. I see the odd one in the States
Don't worry about the old Fudds. They drive me nuts. One time I was standing at the trap field waiting for my squads turn and an old Fudd with a Kreighoff, blinders etc tells me I cant shoot Trap with my gun, I need a 32" barrel to shoot trap. I told him I was just sharpening up my skills for upland hunting, and proceeded to shoot my 20ga Cynergy Field right next to him. I shot a 23, the old Fudd was lucky if he hit 20. After the round I politely thanked him for "letting" me shoot. My shooting buddy shoots an open sight camo Turkey gun with X-full turkey choke, and consistently shoots 23's and beats guys with guns that cost more than our cars.
Moral of the story, shoot what you like, just be polite and respect other shooters.
Just to be clear , you can use your pump with a 4 round mag if you like in competition as along as you only load 1 at a time for singles and handicap or 2 for doubles.
I've had a sneaking desire to try a floating dot scope in trap for fun ever since I started shooting clays. Thought it would be fun just like Wingshoot says. I'll bet you a guy could hit straight aways or quartering shots really well with one. Not so sure about crossers in skeet or picking up the bird from number one station on a double though?
