Meh... P-mags are really only vital if you plan on driving over your AR15 with your pickup truck before you start shooting. Otherwise, USGI mags with decent springs and good followers are good to go.
That said, I've had P-mags fail where USGI and steel mags wouldn't. Plastic will only deform so far before it shatters.
