I have the spears manual but not sure if this would work for the hornady interlocks 140 grain. Just wondering if someone can recommend a max and min load with reloader 22. I pretty new so will double check the lee manual also. Using a tikka t3. Also col would be ideal.

Don't have my manual in front of me, but if you start at around 45.0 grains and work up you will be fine.

I can't help on COL as my 6.5's are M96's and will be different than your T3.

The T3 mag is very generous for the Swede you could even seat it just off the lands and it will still fit and feed in the mag. At least this was the case for the one i loaded for. If i recall correctly i loaded the SST to 10 or 15 thous off the lands using IMR 4831SC with sub MOA results. I went above book loads for the modern action. Getting about 2800+fps w/ 140gn bullet w/ no signs off pressure. The R powders are temp sensitive so becareful of above book loads if you plan to workup over Max load.

RL22 43.7 SIERRA GAME KING 140

Re22 CCI200 140 Hornady #2630
IMR4350 45.5 140 Hornady #2630

Hunting Load: RE-22/ 43.7grs. 2600fps/ 2101ft. lbs from the Sierra Manual and they do go 2.0 grains high for 2700 fps.

The Hornady book does not list Re22 with their 140 grain bullets

I use the 140gr Hornday SP, CCI 200 primer and RE22 also in a T3.
45-46gr of RE22 has been VERY accurate and is not a 'high pressure' load. With 46gr I average 2535fps and every group I have fired has been sub MOA.
I dont have a manual with me now but the highest published load I have seen with 140gr jacket bullet and RE22 is in the Lee 2nd Ed manual and that is 48.1gr and I doubt very much that Lee would be publishing loads that exceed the SAAMI MAP of 51 kpsi for that cartridge. Of course some bullets will generate a little more pressure than others.

This moose wore a 140gr Partition last fall in and out hole!

Thanks that last post got me very excited. Have alot of interlock and a box of partition. Need some brass and I am working on a top notch bear, deer load. May start at 45 grain and work up.

My OAL for the 140gr Hornady SP is the same as Harold's: 3.015"

I have been using the same length for the 130gr Matrix FB but with 47.5gr RE22 and CCI250 primers.
