Meeting place for Newbies and Mentors - Maritimes

Anywhere from 50-100 rds + for plinking purposes. It would be nice to get the deals you can get online from some of the supporting dealers here but without the insane shipping charges you know. The army nave store and better buy do have good prices on say .308 fmj, I'm just wondering if there are anymore local stores around that i don't know about.

Apparently there is a small firearms shop in Covehead that just opened. Heading east out of Charlottetown through East Royalty, turning left at Jewells Country Market, past Vessey's Seeds in York, past the Firehall in Covehead and past the soccer complex in Covehead. It's an old general store on the left. Hope this helps.

sorry to post "twice in a row" but I'm looking to shout out to anybody who is a member of a range or club in the area.
Now I have the safety course behind me, and sending my pal in, I'd like to peek into a club and meet others in around westmorland.

Thanks for your time,
Geoff

If anyone in Central Newfoundland wants to come out, I have a membership at the Gander Rod and Gun Club. PM me if you want to set something up.

I'm in the Moncton, NB area. If anyone wants to hit the range or go for a hunt, send me a PM. I shoot skeet, plink with the .22s and shoot long range with the bigger guns.

Im in Moncton, any good clubs near me? I am new and have my PAL and going for my Ristriced in March, I am sure I will need to be a member of a club to be able to purchase a hand gun?

Any members willing to help a young guy figure out if he really wants an O/U I would love the help, I would love the opportunity to shoot one with out buying. I'd rather wait till spring, I'm a member of the Hampton Rifle and Pistol Club and I'll supply the ammo and clays and we can use the gun clubs outdoor facilities. Feel free to PM me.

Do you guys shoot trap and skeet or sporting clays there?

We have a trap machine, 100m range and a 50m archery range. The only problem is that the trap machine is in the 100m range, so if anyone is using it, you can't fire on the 100m line, or even use the 100m range at 25m for handgun...it's a really small club.

Looking for a reasonably priced club with the option to shoot restricted. Preferably between Halifax and New Glasgow.

I've heard Valhalla was great but some ppl say it's closed?

From PEI, Living in central AB, belong to O'leary gun club in PEI and Camrose shooting Assoc. out here. If anyone wants someone to show them around..just message me. Rifle, handgun, percussion, long range, skeet and trap

Marc, is Cap Pele a bilingual club? I recently moved to NB from Nova Scotia, don't speak or write a lick of French....

Hey there folks!
I'm in Shediac NB, recently became a member of the Cap Pele range. I've owned guns for going on 25 years and would only pulled them out for a little hunting. Then I discovered Cowboy Action Shooting and that really turned me on to shooting as a sport. I got in touch with Tim Kairne in Fredericton he invited me over to his range and offered to let me shoot his Ruger Blackhawk .38 and again .357. That did it I'm signed up to upgrade my PAL to RPAL in January. A couple weeks ago I was at my range sighting my Rem .270 ( I got drawn for a moose license) when two guys showed up to do some handgun shooting. When I was done I went over to check things out and both guys offered to let try there 9MM. They also told me about this site. I can't get over the friendlyness and willingness to help and I look forward to the day when I can do the same for someone else starting out. In the meantime thanks to all for making me feel very welcome.

Marc
