I have about $1,000 allocated for reloading components/ammo purchases in the near future.
I have nearly 5k of each type of primers so I don't need any.
I have 8# of Varget and 500 168gr SMK for my bolt action so that is also good.
I only have 800 55gr .224 FMJ bullets and 350 loaded rounds for AR use and I have a Stag 3G and a Noveske lower arriving this week.
I have 1# of XBR in stock which isn't enough to load all my .224 FMJ's.
My LGS has an 8# of XBR in stock which I can pick up for a little over $200.
Finding Hornady .224 FMJ-WC is impossible in bulk.
I can still get Lake City .224 FMJ for $132. last I looked from Henry.
I have more than enough loaded pistol rounds to last me through the summer but no more bullets in stock for 9mm or .45.
I'm tempted to just buy 2 crates of Norinco .223 and forget the XBR for now but I'll be kicking myself if it won't be available for a while.
What is your feeling on future availability of Norinco .223?
Will the Norinco be accurate enough for the 3G or should I just buy the components and develop a load for it?
I will be shooting AR's more during the summer since I'm a member at a range in the USA.
