Have you SKS lovers seen weimajack's current lot of unissued, non-refurbished SKS's??

if you're going to use it like a whore, get a nornico or refurb...generally unissued or non-refurbs are more collectable, the years and factory make a difference as well...i'm not a collector, i'm a shooter, so i'll have a random collection of beat up refurbs i'm sure...

Trust me, I am looking at the SKSs a lot!

Met my one reference today, and got my application signed (finally). Still have to hopefully get the other one signed this week, then my PAL/RPAL application goes away, and I start waiting.

If I get my PAL (no reason to believe I wouldn't), one of those SKS will be mine.

So, for a shooter (not collectible), is refurb or non-refurb more desirable? I would imagine that in general, non-refurb, unissued Russians are the most desirable? Do most people replace the floating firing pin with the spring-loaded one available places (to avoid slamfires in the case of dirt/cosmoline in the pin)?

Chinese or russian perform the same, however, russian are generally better finished. For a shooter, a russian refurb is perfect but you can get an unissued also. Manys russian 1954 unissued around manufactured by Tula arsenal. Izhevsk arsenal are rarer, only made in 1953 and 1954(53 seems harder to get). No need to replace the free floating firing pin, just keep it clean and dry. The russian you wouldn't want as a shooter is a 1949 because they are rare rifle and they look awesome. They are a different breed, doesn't matter what somes may say. I have a 1949(another on the way) that will be both non-shooter and i have unissued 1950,51,52,53,54,55,56 hardwood,56 laminate. My shooters are a mismatched non refurb 56 laminated stock and a chinese 1970's(possibly) love the chinese but prefer my beat up russian:)

Once you get a Westrifle with their magazine pinning method, you will look at your franken pinned SKSes with disgust. These will demand top dollar when the supplies run out.

Just find a new lot of Russian SKS made by Tula arsenal dated 1954.

These SKS look brand new and unrefurbs, they are all matched (stock and all metalic parts) , but, it's a very thin refurb mark on the top of top receiver cover.

I already stripped some of them, and I can't find a non original part.

May be a worker in Russia like to play with is refurb marking punch.

This is a very special lot, and will post them soon at reduced price.

I am glad to see that your can advertise your product in a clear and concise manner so the average person can buy with confidence. unlike some other dealers.

Brian I have nothing against Weimajack and I never had any problems with him. I thought that you understand the idea of paid advertising on CGN both me and weimajack pay for it and both of us can advertise here. Both me and weimajack sell unissued SKS. You don't even know if we might be partners. Let it go and stop starting fights here, we both know what we are doing here.

i missed out on a nice '50 Tula from weimajack...but my 54 izzy should arrive tomorrow. as an Ontario resident it's cheaper and easier to get it shipped from Quebec, though if the right rifle shows up on any of the vendors wesbites, i'll jump on it no matter where it's coming from, but for my shooters, lower cost is trump. I really like how westrifle and weimajack both have the rifles pictured individually, cause some stocks are more aesthetically pleasing than others, also they include the year. :)
