These are nice, very well made rifles. They were reserve war stores and packed away in cosmoline for long term storage. The vast majority of them were issued and refurbed to spec condition. Some I've seen were as new and some were beat to hell. Some were covered in history stamps and others are bare.
The one I have now, has a .310 bore, so did a couple of others that have gone through my hands.
So far, this seems to be the norm. It makes sense though. The Pakistanis make extensive use of 7.62x39 and most of those use .310 ammo.
Mine shoots very well at all ranges, right out to 300 yards. It will also shoot .308 diameter bullets well. The bullets it really likes are the surplus CETME bullets that SFRC had for sale a few years ago.

She is covered in stamps ( Specially the butt stock ) and a bit ruff...she has seen use for sure...

I noticed a hole on the P&S site where these used to live. Makes me glad I got mine when I did last month.
Well cleaned her up today... Lots of markings on the butt stock idea what they could be ? One side has MPD with an arrow the other full of random numbers.
The bore is perfect ( must of been lucky )
But I had to fix a small crack with PL. You cant see it since its on the inside were the receiver sits...

Very nice rifle, and great photos. Don't do another thing to that POF! Looks like the standard mix of Pakistani "MD^P" and Indian (ESA, etc.) markings.
Consider yourself lucky to have it. In talking with Jean at P&S he is indeed out of stock. He sold 10 POF rifles in the last little bit, and it appears there's no sign of any more on the horizon.

I had to use furniture stripper. Nothing else I tried even put a dent in the black stuff.
