I was just looking over gunbroker.com for Colt AR15s prices and it looks like the AR15 buying frenzy is losing steam. Most NIB LE6920s are selling for about $1600-$1800 and the SBRs appear to be sitting with zero bids on the $1900+ guns. Considering US LE6920s were about $1100-1200 in November 2012, the mark up isn't all that fantastic anymore. I wonder what next month will bring if there's no gun ban?

The situation has definatly gotten better.
With a combination of factories going into mass production mode and no new laws as of yet (and its not looking like AR's will be banned everywhere) so I only see the price going down.
Only issue down there right now is ammo. $1 a round for .223 right now...

I think the initial frenzy of all firearms/accessory purchases has started to subside. I noticed the shipping and processing times from Brownells has decreased and some items are starting to come back into stock.

It's the calm before the storm gentlemen this is just the begining, we have Obama for 4 years in the US, more is sure too come down the pipe, remember they will get more victories especially when the next maniac does another shooting the "left" will be renenrgized again...the war on the 2nd A is just starting....

Saddly, you are correct. Obama and his minions are currently working below the radar to gin up an
emotional, anti 2nd amendment response to the next desperate act of a crazy person with a gun.
They are concentrating on social media propaganda and pressuring elected state officials in key states.

Ammunition including 22 is in short supply.

If anything, .22 LR is the toughest to find here in South Texas. I haven't seen any .22 LR bulk on the shelf for weeks. Apparently Walmart does get restocked periodically but you have to be at the store at 8 am because they sell out by 9. The last time I looked, the two guys in the ammo section hadn't seen any .22LR at all

Nope, still can't order jack sh*t

Yup. That's probably how it's going to be for quite a while. Likely until mid summer at least. Most word I hear is no new orders until probably fall, with dubious chances of existing orders being filled.

I want to see surplus ARs being sold out of barrels in Canadian Tire, like what they used to do with old surplus rifles.

Most of the panic seems to have passed, but manufacturers are still buried in back orders. I bet it'll be a year or more before you can get your hands on a BCG down there.
